I love the fact that you don't need perfection like you did in bl2. Bl3 is balanced so much better in that way and it's balanced between characters so well too. Aside from the gear that just isn't very good at all, there isn't as much of the "this gun is only good on that character" as there was in bl2. Sure we have plenty that do much better on certain characters, but almost everything can do work for all the vault hunters and it's so much more fun to replay. It took some time, but I think Gearbox really got it right in this one.

When it comes to most gear I agree, I just wish it wasn't so impossible to get what you want on relics and class mods

That's why there's zero build diversity, there's only a small handful of weapons that everyone uses, there's at least one vault hunter that's completely useless at end game and even the ones that are good at and game only have one or two builds that can actually do said end game content. Oh, wait.....
I really liked this gun, Dhal rifles always feel so nice and their models are nice. But this thing in particular is like An LMG that feels like normal AR, that and the different sight options are very nice. It's probably my favorite Borderlands gun too
Regardless of the difficult farms in BL3, it's still 100 times easier than BL2. At least BL3 drops are at whatever level you're playing. And the gold star on the map makes it so much easier to find them!

These farming marathons are why I always wanted crafting in the games. I wanted to grind guns to keep specific parts and craft them all together into a god roll. Keep that foregrip you wanted and lose the rest of the weapon, then once you have all the parts you want, craft them all onto a base item and create your god roll with knowledge and effort instead of pure luck
See… I THOUGHT I wanted that for a while too, but… I think BL3 has the system NEARLY perfected since you don’t NEED God Rolls
@@Ki11ersix in terms of general gameplay, I definitely agree- they are just fun to have and make things a tiny bit easier.
But for people who enjoy acquiring god rolls, I expect it comes down to personal preference of pure luck drops vs manually acquiring and assembling the pieces to get what they want
Honestly I would even love that crafting level on all color tiers, so if you happen to get some really good parts through your playthroughs you could piece weapons together for better equipment making it worth picking up white/green/blue items if their constructed parts could turn into something worth using. So many of those random drops are so worthless that they don't even get picked up or looked at, but if they could become something useful maybe players would at least look at the parts
The statistics on how likely you are to get a god roll per run is actually kind of wild. Like the odds of getting a god roll on a roll is easy enough, (.15 x odds of getting perfect parts)
But per run, you have to consider that there’s 3 possible outcomes.
1 drop, 1 no drop (25.5%)
2 drop (2.25%)
2 no drop (72.25%)
So it comes out that you only have a 27.75% chance to get *at least one* drop. But that’s where the statistics get wonky.
Because although on an individual run you have a less than 30% chance to get a drop, when you extrapolate it out to 300+ runs, when you factor in the double drops, you’ll find you’d expect an average value of .3 drops per run (or a 30% drop chance).
Tl;dr it’s not a 30% drop chance, but you would expect to have .3 x #runs drops. Very semantic but very important if you’re talking on a scale of only 10-20 attempts vs a few 100

It's pretty annoying that Tom and Xam share the same loot pool. It would be a lot easier to get what you want if one of them only dropped the Soulrender and the other only dropped the Insider. Or better yet, one of those things could be taken out of their loot pool and given to Kratch, who doesn't drop ANYTHING.

like in Kingdoms of Amalur, you can breakdown equipment and salvage some of its components and use then to craft new weapons, that in Borderlands level of parts could be insane
I personally think this is a horrible idea.... these games are built around farming, and with this proposition, you could create the most powerful items in the game basically by accident, killing replayability instantly....
Just look at K6's Triple Roll ReVolter.... within around 20 runs, he had gathered enough Absorb bonuses in the correct spots to build one, and the series would have ended quite literally 45 minutes after it started.

But then i thought that the idea would be acceptable in an alternate game mode where your characters cant exchange these op guns from one character to another! Just like in diablo 2 resurrected where you cannot exchange items from softcore to hardcore characters. What do you think?

@@comradecthulhu6052Unless they’ve changed it, that only doubles the central corrosive projectile, not the extra fire ones. So it’s actually pretty bad.

There are some exceptions one time I found and 11.56 that was full auto it had insanely low damage though
There up to 13 so no watch either K6’s ar Moze or Dahl Moze forget which one he goes for it but yeah 9.5 is just a soft cap for good dmg and fire rate
The skull damage of your reference is 630280. This gun has to be the best gun in the game.
and you use moze skills with it and ive had skulls easily hit for more than 70m per on trash mobs playing mayhem 10, not to mention theyre homing... its literally like watching fireworks made of guts.
I think nowadays it's fairly objective that the plasma caster is the strongest gun in bl3. An smg with higher base damage than several rocket launchers. There's a reason why people originally thought people hacked the game when they talked about it.
watching God rolls really is fun and I even did my own with an easy Night Hawkin. Would love to one day you K6 and Joltz compete to see who can get one of the diificult god rolls in their games of choice.

I would like a friendly debate on BL2 vs BL3 with K6 and Joltz. I love you both and I love that you each favor the other game and I would like to see this respectfully discussed. It’s almost like an unspoken divergence between you two.
I love both games. Hell I even love base game on Wonderlands. But for me it’s about gameplay, build, gear and content diversity. BL2 endgame is everyone using the same 4 guns and maybe 2 shields. BL3 has HUNDREDS of guns that work at endgame

Same. And the FORCED three story playthroughs with no cutscene skip. Sure dialogue is bad and boring in BL3 but you can skip a lot of it by traveling or save quitting
@@Ki11ersix my only sadness at the end of the day was no DLC add on characters like in BL2. I know from day 1 they said there wouldn’t be any but still I love vault hunters so much. I know it wouldn’t make anyyy sense at all but I always wanted a classic vault hunter from BL1 or 2 to be added in with updated skill trees into BL3. My one fantasy that will never come true.
In my opinion, the soul render is the best AR in the game. People say the Monarch is, but i recommend they try this gun out again in all elements.
God roll soulrender? The grim reaper might say that it's impossible. I say go for it, you can do it Mr K6.
When I first played this dlc, I got one on the first drop, not a god role, but I loved it, then went back to get a upgrade for late game spent 2 hrs farming didn't get anything 😂

It's not a 30% drop chance, it's still only a 15% chance, but twice.
25,5% to get 1 drop per run on average (according to binomial distribution), for anyone curious

If you have another account, you can put it on cooperative mode, on 2 players, therefore when you kill them you will have multiple chances to drop, both accounts are playing at the same time.

The sandhawk on bl3 is my favorite gun. I’m a moze main so I grabbed her some for the road skill and turn the sandhawk into a boss melter.
I really loved this gun on a run-and-gun Zane build.

i enjoy the soulrender, but there are two things that pissed me off about it: sometimes the sculls just won't come out, mostly with flying enemies, bosses or enemies who are kinda far, for example the only time i got sculls to shoot out against graveward was when he slammed his hand on the arena; (this is not that bad compared to the second one)
sometimes when there is only one enemy left and you spray him down with soulrender, it will spawn several sculls in a quick succession, the first scull will kill the enemy, now that the second scull has no target to fly towards THAT MOTHERF*CKER WILL TURN AROUND MID FLIGHT AND HIT YOU IN THE FACE, that shit will one shot you and since everyone is dead, no second wind for you either... i got myself a soulrender two days ago and only yesterday i died twice to this shit... i'm now afraid of my own gun...

That would be right up there with the G Roll re-volter. I've spent untold hours farming Traunt for decent Kaoson's. It's gotta be one of the hardest farms.
The first time I ever got a soul render was on my first playthrough after I beat tom & xam, I got it as a world drop from an egg pod out of all places to get it (this was when the dlc first launched and before the patches came out). Once I used it emidetly became my favorite ar in the game.
This is the difference between 2 and 3. You don't need the perfect roll, but it's there if you want it. I just don't get the hate for the game. From time to time, I go back to 1, 2 and TPS. With 2 and TPS just getting to level cap, is a grind. On UVHM, you can complete the run-through, do all dlc and still be way off level cap. When you work, it can take weeks, if not months to get there. The freedom you get in 3, allows you to test out differing builds and weapon options easier. I hope they maintain, the same formula going forward.
borderlands 3 still has really fun and strong builds which picks up the slack of none perfect weapons which is nice.
I just wish raid bosses like in 2 with the invincibles
@@nickmayhem957 Well there are 17 raid bosses in BL3. Which most of them are as hard if not harder then BL2.

the fact alone that you don't need perfect gear, puts bl3 in the number 1 spot
i had a level 53 version of this gun and carried it and used it all the time until level 70. i didnt know where i got it, and didnt know you could "farm" guns. so i thought hey lets go get the best leveled up version of this gun. found this video and went to the locaion, turned on mayhem mode and got like 3 more of them super quick and easy. it works well against that wuton the invinceable as i think it not only deals a ton of damage but that purple skull thing steals health from bad guys and give it to me. i still havent beat the wuton clown but i am closer than ever now and its almost gotten easy to get to the very last phase but i am still learning what all is going on there.
After killing them at least 100-150 times I finally have a perfect non elemental and bad anointment soulrender. It destroys them easily but I will continue the grind until I have a fire one that is perfect. Tbh the anointment can be good but if it isn't oh well at least its perfect with fire.
Soulrender is one of my top favorites. I just keep farming for even better versions than what I have but they all seem great, if they are full auto.

I'm running one with a 28,513-damage atm.
It has full-auto mode and non-elemental (perfect for my Moze build).
It's one part shy of being a god roll - the grip didn't get the +5% damage one.
I dont know why i randomly decided to farm this thing for 2 hours, but i just farmed a god roll shock soulrender as i type this at 2 am lmao. Thanks for the idea! Hopefully it'll pair nicely with my zane

My favorite overall gun in the game! Awesome, versatile I like it even as cryo for armored enemies.

I been experimenting with that evil smasher glitch. Using it on the legendary longbow, Teeth of Terra and even the bond shredders.
That flipper looks like one of the guns from Halo from the covenant.
siren makes this farm almost instant, ties with bind works on them its a bit weird but the one your not shooting always falls first (at least they did for me)
for console, if you got, even the slightess, boresplosion build for zain with a creamer, the kill gets fast as hell
I deleted my ×2 shredifier before I knew it was good. Time to go farm another one

The Soulrender is the best assault rifle on a Moze build with that splash damage.
Soulrender was so fun on flak, shoot I might get back on bl3 soon here
I always farm one with a box mag cuz i wanna shoot more tho. But everytime i farm one, it always give me a 10 up Fire Rate. Also best way to farm there is use that one Hammerlock Exotic Hunt to trigger the Shlooter with Zane's clone and run back going to Tom and Xam while then Clone kills the creature then use that 12 second window to kill both to maximize the Shlooter. Moze is possible with Auto Bear and leaving Iron Bear dealing with the small bugs to keep the Shlooter's effect up since it has a target lock delay on Iron Bear. Enough time to capitalize the Shlooter's effects
Or trigger the Shlooter on Tom and gain the effect on Xam. Only gives you more world drops though

I spent two months straight farming this crazy rocket launcher but spoopy cosplaying as an assault rifle in all the elements. I'm still missing the corodoe version.
Also, I really wished the skulls would home on bullet impacts to make this more of a skill gun.
That would be broke as hell though

I have been after a perfect render on and off as well. I have gotten 2x god roll super shredifiers and 1x perfect Ogre (not as popular but i love it). Can confirm it's an amazing place for other ARs too.

I started playing bl2 again and I’ve destroyed everything instantly with a shock fibber on Gaige but can’t even tickle the invincibles, I’ve been trying for days and the only one I can kill is Pete. Difficulty spike is unhinged

my max fire is 9.00, my damage is 22867 and my element is radiation, 24 mag size. +42% weapon accuracy +27% fire rate my accuracy is at 81% I love this gun as it is, slightly less, but I have a Kaoson which I use a lot more of.

A big letdown in BL3 is that none of the godroll Dahl guns use the gangsta lean sights. Just like how none of the godroll legendary Jakobs guns have the Garand ping like some purples do.

On the first one that dropped for me I got an almost God roll except It didn't seem to have a foregrip and I prefer iron sights which is not what I got

Amazingly enough I got a perfect one fairly quickly when I first farmed for this gun. Right now I'm farming it again because I want one with the big mag size for my Moze because the small mag isn't enough to allow for infinite ammo regen and I want to shoot without ever having to reload.
You still want the smallest mag one for max damage. My Moze build regens the ammo on it. Just need a Mag size bonus on your class mod or artifact
Got a super shreddifer from a chest while competing this DLC on the mission where you collect Rchos then a CP Launchpad from Xam should probably clarify CP is cutpurse 🤣
The next god roll hunt on bl3 should be the blood starved beast.
this can double as an anarchy farm bc at the checkpoint below there's a couple trash mobs that you can use to proc schlooter before turning around and killing tom and xam, could be worth if save quitting doesn't take too long for you
Amoch is a MUCH better choice to Schlooter farm items from this DLC

I mean, I've spent over 15 days killing crawmerax and 5 days running the armoury (different characters) on the remaster and I've still yet to have a nemesis invader or legendary alien weapon, I feel like there's harder farms.
