Hi Ash, I have a brand myself and i have to say your stories are inspiring, relatable and raw. Theres 1 main issue in the knowledge that you’re putting out. Most of the information is outdated. The marketing has changed a lot and the amount of people who start brands had increased so much. Also you can start a brand with very little to no stock by doing pre orders. Thats how i started at the beginning. Either way thank you very much for your knowledge, it would be great to meet you one day. Thanks

How did you run preorders on Shopify? I have heard a lot of horror stories of Shopify holding onto funds because of too many chargebacks

Hi Ash, can you talk about marketing and what forms grew your business the most? Was it google ads, social media ads etc

Great question, I'd love to hear what Ash has to say on this as well. I'm currently at ~2k a month with my ecomm brand and am struggling to find that first scalable campaign

Seems like it was mainly influencers and word of mouth. Because it was a style of jeans no one was really making yet.

This is great, but you have to keep an eye on the other expenses in the business. The fashion business I work for has 80% margins!! 300k stock turned into 1.9m gross including 240k of shipping paid but the customers, we break even on shipping so its not even an expense... still no money in the bank due to legacy debt from historical overspend.

correct, its all starts with gross margin then next step is like you said expenses and debt is a great topic I will do a video on it, it can kill your business very fast if you get it wrong.

@@ashwhite__ so true. Covid didn't help with that but you need a pot for rainy days. Pay your taxes, don't take more than you need as an owner and always remember cashflow, or lack thereof, is the deathbed of most businesses

Ash any plans to open a SK00L page soon? To build a community so people can interact etc

Not yet maybe in the future, I’m personally not a fan of community’s i think 1-1 people get better results and communication
