This whisky was named after Scotland’s primary game bird, the Red Grouse. A shooting season was defined by English law under the Game Act 1831, from August 12, “The Glorious Twelfth,” till December 10. By 1880, the Grouse had become the most sought after game bird in England. Hunting parties, including Royalty from London, would come every year without fail and Matthew Gloag III capitalised on this annual activity starting 1896, pushing Gloag’s Grouse at every Club, Golf Course, Social Evening and Whist Party with great success. A canny Scot, he priced this brand high, as money was never in short supply among Royalty and their horde of chamchas. Gloag introduced the 7-YO Famous Grouse Blended Scotch whisky in phases, starting 1897. On “The Glorious Twelfth 1905,” it became an 8-YO blend freely available throughout the year, whereas Gloag’s Grouse sales tended to decline outside the shooting season. FAKE FAMOUS GROUSE BOTTLE? I recently bought a bottle from G-Town Wines Gurgaon and the label has a misprinting at the back where the word 'you' is misspelt as 'your'. The label even has an uneven finish where it seems like it wasn't glued on properly and some golden colour letters on the label are getting erased. Please help. Do I have a fake bottle?

Didn't like Rockford reserve .....Have not tried star walker ....For me as of now Macqintosh tops the list followed by oak Smith gold
