    I REALLY admire this man for NOT 'compromising', and for using the lime render. THAT is the appropriate thing to use on an old building and IT BREATHES. It ensures the life of the barn.

    I wish they were able to get the full $100,000 Pound (I know that isn't the right symbol but being from Australia I don't have a pound symbol) value for the plot but being a down turn in the market the $75K is still an unexpected bonus. Really nice family and great looking barn, I wish them all the best.

    people who are on a really tight budget still need 2 cars. 1 is a fuel guzzling Land Rover that must cost an arm and a leg to run. Why don't they sell it, get at least 4-5 grand and save on fuel, car tax and insurance? If they cant live on 1100 quid with no rent it must be the cars taking the money.

    Wow. Very ambitious. Thy sold their house great. They used money from their jobs. Great.and only had 12 000 for the build. Then got a loan for 20 0000. They quit their jobs and have 2 small kids. Yet they are going to pay back the loan with the loan . WOW!!! I can't believe that he is going for custom window frames. I have seen other shows where they get windows for free. He wants to do it by himself and then spend 8 000 on the frames alone. Never mind the glass still needs to be put it.or anything else in the house. And they quit their jobs. Not very well planed out. J.M.O. But good luck. On another show the couple split up even before it was done and she had to get a full time job to get it finished. I heard Susie Armond( not sure if I spelt it right) say if you are going to go back to school and get a loan from the government. ( In the USA) and you go bankruptcy. You still have to pay back the government. So she says save money till you can afford to go back to school or work and go to wchool at night or what ever way works but don't give up your job because you still need money to live. Hope it works for you in the end .

    House rich pocket poor is not much of a dream life. No wonder it is a BnB now so they can pay off the debt as I got the impression that the money they would get from selling the land was not to pay dent off but finish the barn.

    • @MaZEEZaM
      @MaZEEZaM Před 4 lety

      No, given they bought the plot with the barn on for 110,000 pounds and had a plot as part of it with a potential value of equal that though it looks like due to the down market they might only get 75,000 Pounds, the barn was a bargain. It was realistic given the barns state that it would cost minimum as much as it did to fix it up regardless of the purchase value.
