Rice & Ginger reacts to Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba - The Movie: Mugen Train!
#DemonSlayerMovie #KimetsuNoYaiba #MugenTrain
Wow, we had no idea that today (for the other side of the world) May 10 is Rengoku's Birthday... what an insane coincidence đ€ŻHappy Birthday to the GOAT đđ We love you Rengoku!!! SET YOUR HEART ABLAZE!!!
Can you do a reaction on season 2 soon?
yeah, we love our dougnut
from here comes the mugen train arc that they did again but in 6 episodes, I only recommend you see the first one which is when rengoku was on his way to the train which is before the movie, from there you can jump to season 2 without problems, And seeing how she cried in this movie I don't think she's ready for season 2. xDDDDD
It makes me so happy that our birthdays are on the same date. HE'S THE GOAT! đ„
ALSO, YOU GUYS ARE THE BEST!! I've waited a whole week to watch all 4 parts at once đ and IT WAS TOTALLY WORTH IT! TYSM AND LOVE YOU GUYS đđ
His name is Kyoguro....Not Rengoku. Rengoku is his family name.
I know it may be frustrating that they could not kill the demon, whether we like it or not, the demon was the upper 3. The demons who havent been changed or replaced in centuries.
Yeah Akaza is just too much unless you are Yoriichi lol
that's true, not to mention that Akaza being a martial artist he seems to be the most ambitious of the top 3, to the point of actually challenging top 1 for his place, he is everything but an easy opponent.

Keep in mind, Akaza is Upper 3, that means he is literally the fourth strongest demon alive ( Muzan included) as far as we know about the existence of demons. The unfortunate truth is that Rengoku simply didn't stand a chance. As powerful and tenacious as he was, Akaza is simply on another level. Regardless, he fought with everything he had, he *_Set his Heart Ablaze,_* and he went out like a G, and I have utmost respect for him.
Mad respect to Rengoku đ„ aside from the sadness, I'm happy he got to be with his mother again and so was he â€ïž

Rengoku knew that, and killing Akaza was not what he was fighting for. He was fighting to protect the boys and the people on the train as long as possibile, maybe until the morning. Thatâs how I read it! đȘđ»
Nah, Ren had a chance, a very small one but he pushed Akaza FAR, Akaza could not get away from his grasp with his sword halfway through his neck on his own strength and the sun was coming up
@@mydaiel6647 you right..but Rengoku didn't know that at first, he always believes he has a chance. He probably realized that later in the fight tho

For a little trivia on Lower-Moon 1: Enmu - His backstory was he was a deranged doctor (He had no license for practice but tricked people using hypnotic therapy) who was obsessed with dreams, having a hard time distinguishing reality from fantasy which due to his neglect caused many sick people to die (He even told people who were deadly sick they were cured, tricking them into believing through hypnosis they would live just to see the thrill of 'hope' in their eyes before the despair of their death reached them, He kept doing this scam over and over to multiple innocent people, getting sick enjoyment out of it.
Eventually, he encountered Muzan and tried to kill him, only for Muzan to rip him apart, Enmu was never supposed to be a demon before Muzan but as Enmu was literally being torn limb for limb, he expressed enjoyment and even praised Muzan as the demon king was eating him...with that Enmu's brain stopped and his heart was an inch from death. Muzan, changed his mind and after seeing Enmu's sick and twisted personality...left him one drop of blood for him to turn into a demon (IRONIC, and funnily enough this was the same as the Lower-rank Meeting when Enmu was supposed to be killed but Muzan changed his mind and gave Enmu a second-chance after hearing his twisted evil words - That's why Enmu was staring at Enmu in bliss most-likely being taken back to his first-encounter with Muzan ripping him to shreds. - History repeats itself - Nice little Symbolism the Author did there.). Enmu drank the drop and became a demon, vowing to become a lower-rank and serve Muzan forever in his own sick twisted fantasy .
His derangement and inhibition to tell the difference between reality and fantasy caused his blood demon art to take the form of 'dream-manipulation' his own form of deadly hypnosis that tied into his mortal life. Now he spent his decades scamming people with dreams and much like his sadistic gleefulness when he was human, turning dreams into nightmares so he could gaze into the victim's terrified face.
A truly disturbing demon, even for the lower ranks.
How the fck u know that
@@MoJiTo-_- Databook includes it - It includes background information the main story doesn't cover - Like the former Lower-Moons and hidden facts about them - Like Rui was as powerful as Lower-Moon 2/1 until he created his demon family, giving them powers which weakened him to only Lower-Moon 5

Yeah I totally picked up on how you were using the water as a distraction to fight back your tears. Great reaction! Don't worry guys there is still hope!
I was also going to say that. Ron has been trying so hard to fight back his tears with using the water. How awfully thirsty of you Ron đ€Ł Kidding aside, I can definitely relate on your sadness of Rengokuâs death. He was such a great character for the show.

Rengoku is my favorite character in this anime (Iâve read all the manga). Just his passion to help others and how he treats them. He takes Tanjiro under his wing for the the short time heâs been with Tanjiro. Also his lasting impact on all his comrades just shows you what a beacon of hope, nobility and positive energy. ( I love him so much I have the UMAI!!! Scene tattooed in manga panel style on my right shoulder)
SET YOUR HEART ABLAZE!!
Also Akaza is my favorite demon. Without spoiling anything, his story hits you hard and really drive home the seriesâ theme that evil isnt born, itâs created. Also a lot of the other comments are right, this is The Upper 3rd demon, heâs not trying to kill Rengoku, heâs trying to get him to become a demon. Heâs also only uses a 1/3 of his power, for example, Akaza stops his fist before he goes straight though Rengokuâs face (heâs fist goes straight through Rengokuâs body later in the fight), and just the wind from his punches cuts through Rengokuâs skin. Also if you watch very closely, Akaza letâs Rengoku get his breathing under control later in the fight, thatâs how little of a threat Rengoku is to him. And Rengoku is 5th strongest harshira (up for debating but this is where he stands in my ranking) in the series, and Akaza has killed so many hashrias. The only time he was scared for his life was when Rengoku caught him by surprise and the sun was coming up.
This is one of the saddest anime deaths Iâve seen. The thing that hits hard for me is the wisdom that his mom imparted on him. âThose who are strong must protect the weakâŠâ as someone who was small, skinny and weak in middle school I was all alone until I met my friend( Redacted name). He was bigger than my bullies and he protected me. I felt safe for once in my life and I made a friend for life.
There is one mistake on your comment amigo. Akaza would've never killed anyone on the train, at the very least not the women and children since Akaza has a policy of not killing women and children. He would also not kill the men as long as they don't get in his way (like how he tried to kill Tanjiro thinking he'll get in the way of his 'conversation' with Rengoku-san but kept away from him once he was assured he won't come in). Akaza was also not going to kill Rengoku but was gonna recruit him (secretly hoping they would become friends), since he has mutual respect for strong people like Rengoku. The reason he wants Rengoku to become a demon is initially he was ordered to kill the Hashira by Muzan, but it pains him to see strong characters like him die. Nevertheless he cannot spare Rengoku and become friends with a human and certainly not a demon slayer Hashira since that would mean certain death at the hands of Muzan. So he wants Rengoku to become a demon to make him live and be friends with him, but he doesn't understand that his moral values and Rengoku's moral values are different.
(All the afore mentioned info is in the Kimetsu no Yaiba fanbook)
@@arjunsiddhanth1098 you right I totally forgot about his no woman or children rule. I fixed my mistake in my comment
I would like to know your strength list for the hashiras, because some people put him way lower then you did but I think he is fairly high in the list but defiantly not top Personally any where from 3rd to 6th is where I would put him, I just know gomei(idk how to spell his name) takes first with sanemi second then it gets more difficult to rank the rest
Dude, you made me cry again but yeah you're right. This is well written.
Why? there's no real emotional connection to the character, he was introduced then killed. Remove the dramatic music and the scene is sad because someone's dying, but not because Rengoku's dying.
I won't lie, when I saw this in theaters for the first time, I kept it together until Inosuke had his breakdown and started crying. Seeing Inosuke who had never shown any other real emotions other than delight and anger actually crying over the loss of Rengoku was like taking a cannonball to the feels. Ufotable has done an amazing job of making the fights beautiful, and the story plots impactful. Seeing Inosuke break down still tears me up man, well played.
I actually found that extremely cringe and stopped bawling at that point lol
It's actually insane how strong rengoku was considering his training was reading books
the books have the instructions on how to swing your sword and execute the form with your body. Rengoku didnât need an instructor. He was a strong Hashira. But he was fortunate that Akaza was curious about him being the first flame Hashira he encountered and was fond of his âbattle spirit.â Akaza was never serious until the last part Rengoku used all of his strength to not let Akaza goz

The end of this movie really shows us the reality of the world they are living in. All 3 of them are just kids living through hell, surviving, training until their bodies break into pieces to defend the helpless while they continue to lose their seniors, friends, all the loved ones and still they are pushing forward no matter what but when akaza runs away and rengoku is on his last breath, all the hope seems to fade away and the difference in human and demon world seems just unimaginable to push thru.
Every time I see this movie I cry. It never fails. Rengoku is always my fave. Set your heart ablaze
Destructive death â ïž
The analysis made at the very end was indeed very intelligent... You guys did realize that they were nowhere near in power to defeat Akaza, and that the only chance they had in the battle was brought to them by the sun. I bring this up bc they're many reactors that keep complaining that Akaza only won the fight bc he could regenerate himself which is very dumb to say... obviously Akaza knows his regeneration speed so he uses this in battle, so it just a dumb argument to make. Upper moons are no joke, and even between the upper ranks there is a huge gap of power. The hashiras hunt the upper moons in packs from 2-3 hashiras. This is a very young generation of hashiras, so none of them had face an upper rank until this fight. I know after the movie you feel hopeless and sad, but remember the words Oyakatasama said to the hashiras in their meeting: "I believe that with you who are present today (hashiras), I've assembled the finest unit since the first breathing swordsmen from the feudal era". Great things are coming guys, cheer up and set your heart ablazeđȘđ»
Yeah It irritates me a lot that many people keep degrading Uzui that he was having a hard time against gyutaro and consider him weak when they totally underestimate the power an upper moon holds but some people praise kyojuro's work over Uzui
The fact that.. him hearing the words "You made me proud"
How long has he longed to hear those words from someone his father or mother.. in the end when he did he had this smile of satisfaction. Rengoku you'll forever be remembered.

Also I donÂŽt know if you noticed, but that scene with the leader of the demon slayers visiting the graves that you see at the very begining is happening in the future. When you were mentioning meditation and breathing, there's also something called a "flow state" where it basically just means to be "in the zone" during some activity. The more experienced you are at meditation, the more likely you'll be able to give your undivided attention and focus to whatever you're doing to reach a flow state. Which of course breathing can be a factor in that.
@@LamirLakantry Well meditating can increase the immune system, but I'm not sure to what extent. I'm sure you'd have to be a very heavy meditator to get any significant boost. I remember reading a research about it a long time ago. It is mostly mental benefits though. It is a shame that the woo woo crowd kind of gave it a bad name.
I started crying when the Kamado family first appeared in Tanjiroâs dream, and I didnât stop until the very end. Walked out of the cinema like a crazy woman lmao. I get emotional so easily, so this movie made me cry a river.

This show has all the core values of what it means to be human. Duty, appreciating life, honoring those who created you, protecting the weak, honoring the human spirit. Sacrificing yourself for another is the sincerest form of love. To value life itself and everything that comes with it, to fight against and hate that which does not value life.
This is why it seems Japan is the last nation on earth capable of creating such beauty. The west have let the demons takeover, life is no longer valued, the human spirit is no longer honored, life is exchanged for pleasure, duty, protecting the weak, honoring thy parents, it has become selfish and individualistic. All things that lead to the collapse of a unified society.
This show teaches us what it means to be human, and the beauty of life, to hate and fight against all that which seeks to destroy it.

Akaza was totally playing with Rengoku, which was visible . He wasn't serious at all, he would've killed all off them off in a matter of seconds tbh as much as I like Rengoku man wasn't anything to Akaza (he didn't want to kill him straight up because of his potential as demon and because Akaza loves having fun with good enemies). He was even allowing Rengoku to take breaks to catch his breath..

Apart from the grief, for these three to witness the death of a Hashira mustve been a monumental shockâŠ
In their prev major battle in the mountain, they were fighting a lower moon, and it was already a monumental struggle for them at time. And then Giyu came along a basically mopped the floor with that LM5 in matter of seconds.
Tanjiro saw how extremely powerful a hashira actly is. And then he strived to train to be like one, the initial breathing trainings the three did while recuperating, on top of recovery and other physical trainingâŠ
And then this upper moon appeared and gave rengoku, a hashira, a very hard time. Granted they were already exhausted after dealing with enmu, but damn.
So yeah, huge morale drain here, on top of griefing over the lost of a hashira who was basically an all around good wholesome guy.
Honestly, thank god for inosuke for stepping up and pulling them out of this grief..
I was in theatre watching it and I couldnÂŽt hide my tears, Tanjiro shouting at the demon just right after he escaped was the most emotional part. Nice video!
My mom passed away a couple years ago so seeing this movie really hit hard. Great reaction, can't wait for the next season!
Since you guys watched LiSa sing Gurenge live, you should check out her live performance of Homura from the end credits too. Really emotional song and a fantastic performance I think you'd enjoy.
Hi guys, I've been watching your content of demon slayer and seeing you has been such a great experience. I came accross with you looking for the full match between Rengoku and Akaza, and the way you react and make your theories about what comes next has been so cool, at the point that I went back to see the full 2 seasons with you you :). Happy to be part of the sushy squad, greetings.
I don't blame you, I've watched that scene a million times and I cry every time
Rengoku has stuck by me emotionally ever since I saw the movie and rewatched it through the episodes.. a tattoo is a must for me! for knowing him for such a short time.. he really made a impact on me and many others.
Very tough to watch such a loved character who's onscreen appearance was so miniscule. Love ya guys and keep those hearts ablaze!
Here are some Rengoku Fun Facts:
Kyojuro loved to watch sumo wrestling.
Kyojuro's favorite food was sweet potatoes. When eating them, he said "tasty/delicious" (æšăăŸă umai) each time he puts one in his mouth.
His favorite side dish was salt grilled bream.
Kyojuro was never allowed to have a pet because his father hated animals.
Kyojuro's very distant ancestor, as stated by Kyojuro, ate a lot of tempuras causing their descendants' and their own hair to become quite abnormal.
The Rengoku family has long since had a practice called "Kankagari" (è§ăăçŻăăă kankagari). For the duration of their pregnancies/gestation period, every seven days the wives will spend two hours gazing at a large flaming torch. This seems to be what causes the men in the family to have flame colored hair.
Kyojuro viewed the other Hashira as follows.
"She developed the poison! Amazing! She fights on despite her disadvantageous physique! She deserves my respect!" - Insect Hashira
"He's even more talented than I am when I was around his age! You're young, keep up the remarkable work!" - Mist Hashira
"His senses are sharp! If it's just his shoulder, elbow, and the joints in his wrist, then they're more flexible than Kanroji's!" - Serpent Hashira
"He's blessed with a huge physique!, I'm envious! Swinging those gigantic weapons so lightly is amazing! Fantastic muscular build!" - Stone Hashira
"His voice is so small! It's difficult to hear what he has to say! He's a hard worker!" - Water Hashira
"The trajectory of his swordsmanship is beautiful! I saw a shinobi for the first time ever! I'm deeply moved! He slightly has too many wives!" - Sound Hashira
"She utilizes her talent! The creativeness of her techniques is terrific as well! She's a cute junior!" - Love Hashira
"The man who pushed the Wind Breathing's techniques up to the next level! How admirable!" - Wind Hashira
Kyojuro's level of openness was ranked as 95%.
It was revealed in a Taisho Secret in Episode 28 that Rengoku doesn't have a Tsuguko because of how hard his training is and they end up running away.
Kyojuro is one of only 4 Hashira that use a normal Nichirin Katana. The other 3 are Giyu Tomioka, Muichiro Tokito, and Sanemi Shinazugawa.
In Kimetsu Academy, Kyojuro is a history teacher. Because of his passion of teaching and his love of history, he began hurling his students and starting cavalry battles during class. He's loved by his students, and nobody in this academy has terrible grades in history.
y'all are almost at 1 Million views omg !!! đâ€
This why I hate ppl saying demon slayer is carried by animations. You donât get this emotional with bad writing or bad characters!
This one got me for a few tears when I first watched it, and I don't usually get all emotional like that. They developed Rengoku very well as a character in this short amount of time.
I've been loving following this journey with you guys watching S1 and Mugen Train. I'm so excited to watch S2 with y'all next!
i cry everytime I see that đ SET YOUR HEART ABLAZE
When I watched the movie for the first time, alone, I exited the cinema with my mind blank. It was very overwhelming, and I was devastated. I kept telling myself that "this is a historic moment for anime", and it was for many of us.
As a manga reader, you guys are not ready for what's coming next! :D
And this is one of the three reasons I feel DS is so groundbreaking in shonen anime, the first is these stupidly gorgeous animations, but second is the way the story is structured you can feel the progression, you can feel Tanjiro getting stronger but can feel the treats raising too, you can feel the difference between Tanjiro and Rengoku, and again between Rengoku and Akasa, witch make us see and feel the enormous, grueling, and downright hopeless task ahead...
And lastly I really like Tanjiro as a Main Character, long have been the time of Edgy dark MCs, or bumbling powerful buffoons. Not only Tanjiro seems and feels like a more real person, or at least attainable, even in this world of fantasy of the anime, he also comes with such great message.. empathy... We need more of this in our real world more and more..
i friggin cry everytime! i cried again watching this! but im glad i didnt cry alone. really enjoyed this, really enjoy ur channel growing. when his mom showed up, it was over for me.
Everything about this part of the movie turns it from great to phenomenal. The Akaza fight is brilliant - in terms of animation, voice acting, and most importantly, music - that OST is god-tier (I still listen to it practically every day). Then Rengoku's death - much like Ron, this is one of the only scenes to ever bring me to tears.
Beautiful Rengoku! Set your heart ablaze đ.
Iâm breaking down rn. I wasnât even watching it entirely. I loved his character so much. I was expecting to see so much more of him, and it makes me so sad that heâs gone. Set your heart ablazeđ„
Rewatching this part with you guys made me cry again. That part where Rengoku's mom comes to pick him up from the mortal world always gets me.
Akaza is the GOAT!! When you see his backstory and everything in the manga it made me respect him even moređŻ
43:53 yeaah i noticed! I was like: "he keeps drinking water.. could it be to distract himself so he doesn't cry? I see his eyes are full of water"
I really love you both and I love your videos, thank you for making me happy
You dont want to miss season 2. It's on another level than the movie
It's pretty much the same level. It's just recency bias. Animation is dope though
@@matedespot1480 good in different ways. While I do think Entertainment District is better, that doesn't take away from how amazing this Mugen Train is. Rengoku forever in our hearts â
@@matedespot1480 season 2 is way better than the fight with Lower 1, and still definitely better than the Akaza fight. It literally goes on for like 3-4 episodes
@@user-eq5wg9ii7j You can't really talk about the movie if you are gonna divide it into 2 parts. If you divide season 2, you literally get a 5 episode (basically 6 since first ep is longer) long intro. 3 epic episodes, and kinda meh ending. Don't get me wrong I am not saying that season 2 is bad, on the contrary, I think it's on par with the movie, which is a masterpiece. . But emotionally, it's completely different. Not to mention your dissapointment if you read the manga. When I watched Mugen train the first time I literally went online to start searching for a good "set your heart ablaze" tattoo. When I watched season 2 I was hyped too, but the hype kinda went down with the last episode.
TL;DR
Mugen train is the first love that loved you with all her heart, but you had to leave her since she went to live as a nun on Antarctica.
Season 2 is a really nice looking boy/girl you met on your vacation in Cancun and you made love for 10 days straight and never heard of each other again.

Great job on the reaction these most authentic reaction video Ive seen. It gave me flashbacks to when I saw it. No talking because youâre just enjoying it and the tears the girl had was the same way I had when he saw his mom. Great job! Thumbs up đđŒ
"Do you know why you were born stronger than others? So that you can help those who are weak." That line hits me deep. Rengoku and the words of his mother inspire me to be a better person to everyone who are less fortunate than me. I've come out of the theatre as a different person because of this movie. Rest in peace, Rengoku. Thank you for teaching us how to love and protect others
Out off all the demons, Akaza is the one that doesnât get killed by anyone. No one manages to kill him throughout the show.
At first, I didn't cry, because I had only known the character for a total run/screen time of like 5 hours. But as I rewatch each person's reaction, I can't fight back the tears! Every time, it's like reliving the pain over and over. Also, watching other people cry makes me cry, so......that's a thing.
I know this video is from forever ago but don't change the way you genuinely react. So many people today overdoing the reactions on purpose. Watching you genuinely speechless for the last 10 minutes is that genuine reaction that people love to see to relive the moments when they watched the episode.
This is the best reaction I've seen on the internet. Rice and ginger, y'all felt the way I did. The pain, the anger.
Akaza is always be my favourite character in deamon slayer â€ïž
Iâve watched this movie and different reactions multiple times and I cry every single time! Iâm glad yâall chose to watch the movie first and experienced the emotions this way
This is the 5th time i've seen this and it still make the tears come out. So thanks for the reaction guys, it was a pleasure crying with you haha
I can imagine ginger cosplaying akaza with the pink hair L0L
It's always the moment his mother shows up at the end that absolutely destroys me. I can't watch it without sobbing. My boy Rengoku finally got the praise and recognition he deserves, right before he's gone. He was the goat!!! Hope he's eating tons of tasty treats up there in heaven! đ„đ
This show is so great in part because of how unfathomably strong the upper moons are compared to the hashira. Without them being so strong we wouldnât see the hashira be pushed their to their utmost limit. Itâs a great power dynamic fr
Thank you for the tears and emotions...All I want to say is, after having watched so many reaction videos on youtube, yours are my favorite. I always cried when I watched the movie either. So, thank you a lot, thank you for sharing the emotions, it's sad and happy to feel it again.
By the way, today(May 10th) is happened to be Rengoku's birthday. Which is an amazing coincidence! I think it's the best birthday present for him, and for me as well.^^
I loved to see your reaction! can't wait for the next season!!!
