    Loved this movie. I bought DVD. I have seen everything about this movie on U Tube , but other then storyline and the mastery of the whole movie this is the great explanation why this is a masterpiece. Thanks

    This is the truly the most beutiful cinematography I ever saw in a film. Thank you for breaking down composition. It is interesting what lenses Lukas Žal was using also if he uses this rules of composition and does it intuitive or observant way.

    I don't know what it is about well-composed shots in the 4:3 ratio that brings me so much gd joy! 🍻

      @MastersofCinematography  Před 3 lety +1

      Yes. It was filmed in square format. And not thirds. Its Golden Ratio. 🙏🏻

      @@MastersofCinematography Thank you! I find out that you can change overlay in lightroom by pressing O button. I guess that you made something similar when you edited this video. Also it is interested why square is called „academical“ format.

      @@gabrysgabriukas I work with Premier.
      And I think this is a classic. That is why it is called academic🤔. Likely

      The human eye has learned some of the composition by seeing the surrounding nature, as well as paintings and other works of art, but the specialized performance of composition in filming requires remembering the varieties of composition. That is what we are trying to do here.
