- The Seeger Sessions tour wrapped with a string of marvelous shows across Europe and the UK. London 11/11/06 presents Bruce and The Sessions Band’s roisterous 23-song set from Wembley Arena and offers songs not featured in the New Orleans Jazz Fest Archive release or Live In Dublin including “Devils & Dust” and final encore “Froggie Went A Courtin’.” Best of all is the world premiere and only tour appearance of “Long Walk Home,” debuted as a work in progress with alternate lyrics and extra verses.
History made right here. The debut of one of his best songs of the last 20 years....
I was there too..and remember him saying 'I just finished this one last night..see what think'. Sooo beautiful and it was a fab and fun night..as always with Bruce.
Ohhh God! What an amazing version (1st version) of the song. Don't know which i prefer, this one or the Magic version. And that last verses make all the sense. 👏 Thank you 🙏

This was my first Springsteen gig and I got in the Pitt, absolutely mind blowing!
I was there that night, and the other Wembley night. Bruce was on fire. Stunning version. Shame we never saw that band again.

This is an amazing version, especially following the attempted coup and destruction of our capitol and our country on January 6, 2021. How Bruce writes about stuff that happens years later always fascinates me. May our walk home not be too long.
The E Street band version is good but this is great the pedal steel just transforms the song
Just like the contrast between Ghost of Tom Joad, played with Tom Morello (best version during Magic Tour) and the one played in 2000 in NY.. some bruce songs just need to be played the way they are, ballads
