- We road scooters through Yala National Park in Sri Lanka, looking for elephants. We found one and he was not happy we were on her turf!

Sri Lanka is famous for thier Elephants. The main place to see them close and personal from the road is Yala National Park. If you look this place up you will see images of Tuktuks completely flipped by elephants (maybe this should have been a fair warning). But I was fairly confident with my skills on a scooter that I could maneuver through these blood thirsty elephants. My friend Cody on the other hand... not so much!
Cody passed the ultimate scooter challenge dude 😂
Cody will remember this encounter for his whole life and will be a hell of a story to tell your friends, relatives and grand children.
The Sloth bear is like the rarest animal you can see, more difficult to encounter than a Leopard. You guys got lucky!!
That was an Indian black bear and not a sloth bear!!

That elephant is waiting for fruits that people give him when they come back from Katharagama temple. still, that is a wild elephant that can kill if he wants to but that guy little bit more familiar with humans than real wild elephants.

This stupid risk taking will continue till a tourist dies. then the government will ban tourists form certain roads. So risky. So many people die by elephant attacks in Sri lanka. And you cant out run them if they are really out to get you. Cody was so lucky to be alive.

This road runs through National Park. Full of wildlife. Unless you are familiar and know how to get away from angry elephants 🐘 shouldn't take this Rd. Locals cary fruits with them and throw them to elephants if its nessaory to avoid them. Never stop and wait on these roads. As the way you stopped and waited and discussed what happened. Elephants are brave enough and can come from another side without any noise. Yale is famous for elephants 🐘 leperds, bears 🐻 , water buffalos 🐃 and crocodiles 🐊. Those are the big five.
