3-2-1 build sounds like an awesome deal…
Just assembled my 321 last month for my boosted swapped sn95. Threw in some comp stage 3s for a little extra zest. can’t wait to swap it in and run it.
Andrew, would you ever do a subscriber's build giveaway, where you build someone's car if they purchased merch for entries? Or be open to building subscribers cars in general?
I really didn't have a great experience with the bullitt giveaway. Ended up being a big loss financially. Rick is happy with the car but terrible business move on my part.
What about doing a coyote giveaway, I know you said the last giveaway you lost money. But this would be a great way to promote your business even more. Just a suggestion love your channel since a couple years ago and my favorite car is silver GT
@@MustangLifestyleTV I hear you, but what if the giveaway was like “hey if you win, we’ll ship your car to our shop, and we’ll do a few simple modifications for you (intake, exhaust, etc.)?
@@MustangLifestyleTV I’m sure it’s not that simple, but then you’re not paying cash for the car, only for the modifications and the labor hours to install.
Pull the trigger after you see what kind of beating you set up takes.
That's cool. Would have liked to see more of the engine assembly.
Yeah that would be a good thing cause I was wondering if you could build a coyote from all of the gen motors and you just answered all my questions. Need this for my 2012 track pack mustang
All coyote engines parts are compatible, except for gt350 which you do need the firing and timing parts of the gt350 if you want the crankshaft
One word Awesome… definitely love to have one fully built and ready I’ve got a f150 to trick out
The 3-2-1 builds are a great way to go👍
What's a 3 2 1 build?
@@albduke gen 3 short block, gen 2 heads and gen 1 timing and cams.
What would you expect to make to the wheel NA, max effort bolt ons only? I wanna put this in a ffr ac cobra replica within the next 2 years.
@@leroyjenkins6809 500 wheel more with e85 but also depends on the type of dyno
Have a 3-2-1 in my boss. Boss heads boss intake. It pulls great
Boss 302 heads better then the gen 2 heads?
I’m pretty sure everyone is interested in a 321 build start the project so I can buy me one
That engine sounds so smooth
what are the parts list for the 3 2 1 set up, new to this and this my ultimate plan on my truck
I would definitely buy 3-2-1 engine need it for my truck
Where do I get that engine block from??
I hope I get to see you at Mustang week this year will be my first time I heard this is the last year they are doing it I live in York SC it's about a 4 hour drive
Imagine having unlimited money a good mind and all these build videos for reference
Ive been drooling
I’d be interested in one of those coyotes for sure
For $3700 I do believe I can build a all forged aftermarket 5.0 coyote. Molnar 4340 h beam rods Je forged pistons ford forged crankshaft. But I could be wrong I’m gonna look in to it.
Man a 3,2,1 combo that I can just drop in my gen 1 truck! Sign me up!
Where can I find the gen 3 short block?
First off I would like to say your videos have assisted in my 3-2-1 build and have been super helpful. I do have a question. What did you do for the crank position sensor? The gen 1 and gen 3 are different. The gen 1 was a 2 prong and the gen 3 is a 3 prong. No one has covered this in the videos. Any help you can offer would be much appreciated.
I thought we covered this in this video. I know we went over it in the 2nd Gen 3-1-1 video. You need to swap to gen 1 or 2 rear main cover and use whatever sensor corresponds with your Gen
@@MustangLifestyleTV thanks so much. I may have missed that. Much appreciated I didn’t even think about that. Lol. I feel like a dumba- lol
that would be great to sell them pre assembled 2 thumbs up
Glad to see it running!
well damn I may have to go to that New England event at NED
@mustunglifestyle to the moon🔥🌍 you guys are fire🤎
I would love a 321 build for my '15 gt
Wow is so smooth and quiet!! Too quiet lol!! Gonna be a little beast!!
i have interest in this mix of coyote
You are living a dream dude!!!!!
Does anyone know what spark plugs and injectors to use on a 321 coyote?
Why isn't the turbo spinning ?
Would love to drop one into my 2011 Crown Vic P7B...😁
Did you guys end up doing drop in 3-2-1 builds? Curious about a price? Thank you!
Great video and information. Hey, I would like to ask which heads are better the boss 302 heads or the 2015 hits? Thank you.
Awesome 👏🏼, I have a 2012 boss 302 long block, I really like the idea of raising the compression to 12-1 . I’m just not sure if they gen 3 crankshaft is better than the boss 302 crankshaft. I know the boss 302 piston is forged. But I believe the rod are the same. If someone can give some advice about it? I’ll appreciate. Thanks
Boss block is pretty much the best way to go. It doesn’t get any better than that.
Hate to be "that guy", but a little added ring end gap could save you some serious money, especially hearing you say 20 lbs. of boost. Either way, I'm sure it'll rip and hope she rolls out for you for many, many years. Just a fyi, my 2019 F150 motor only has .012-.014 ring end gap. I haven't went in and added any ring gap either, but I'm only on about 9psi
Nice cut Andrew! Clean!!
Because of where this is the GEN three motor with the 12.1 compression do you have to use E 85 or are you able to use regular gasoline? Thank you.
Please do I plan on doing a 3-2-1 build with a 10r80 on my S197
Why no point
@@codyyellott117 a few people did it lol
@@ColemanProductionsCP just do a gen 3 long block and be done with it unless u wanna have trans harness work and a control pack for gen 1
Is it absolutely necessary to buy the $2000 control pack(wire harness) to coyote swap into a New edge? Are there any other options? Do crate engine come with this control pack or is it specific to a coyote-new edge swap? Does it come with a new PCM/Computer? Thanks!
Holley makes a standalone HP efi system that runs everything but its like 2-3k+ depending on if you want vvt and how many i/o you need.
how y’all go on about the head gasket? and hell yea i’d buy a 3-2-1 5.0 from ya ina heartbeat
Match head gaskets to whatever set of heads you're using.
God I want that red Gt500 one badass build
You and me both
How did you work on the head stud issue? doesnt gen 3 use larger head studs than previous generations 2&1? Also what pcm is this engine running since you have gen 1 timing components. There was a few intricacies you guys made look soo easy.
There is nothing complicated about the head studs. Use the 12mm that correspond with gen 3. This engine was used with gen 1 ecu - that is why it has gen 1 cams, phasers, timing components.
@@MustangLifestyleTV Ok lastly it keeps all its drivability? There's not problem with idle or anything at all? Oil pump and water pump are from gen 3 i assume? What throttle body did you use as well?
Can i do mustang block heads and timing but use a 2011 f150 harness. Thinking of yote swapping my 11th gen and i was gunna swap out the cab for a 12th gen f150. Will that work for the 1st gen wiring?
Why not just put froged rods and pistons in a gen 1 block instead of a 321 build?
Id be happy eith the 460hp just upgrade my daily new edge
Haircut/beard trim looks clean. Give me a 3,2,1 for free for the compliment. Thanks.
Did you pull the pistons and open up the ring gaps for boost?
What gen head gaskets did yall use
My engine on my 14 just went out and this would be a nice upgrade, without getting it fully built like this what price range am I looking at for heads and block?
can i have your old parts? oil pump ect
What cometic gasket did you use?
What gen wiring and computer do you have to run
dO YOU USE THE GEN 1 PISTONS? THANKS
It’s a gen 3 short block comes with pistons in it already
what did u have to do to get the coyote to bolt in?
I can’t find your website and I wanna buy a 3-2-1 build
should I run all 4 knock sensors on a gen 1?
Whats wrong with stock OEM gears for the oil pump? Cant you coat them with DLC or similar friction reducer?
The metal they are made of is weak
@@MustangLifestyleTV you mean its regular steel and not tool steel?
Any advantages to the 3-2-1 combo? Wouldn't all gen 3 parts be the best?
Gen 3 head flow well but direct injection makes that a hard to use setup in anything other than a Gen 3 ecu. Gen 2 heads next best thing that is relatively affordable. And Gen 1 cams and timing components because this is a Gen 1 ecu car.
So if you had a gen 2 ecu you could run a 3 short block with 2 heads and timing components?
@@dnunley423 yes
@@dnunley423
Gen 2 cams would have been better in terms of performance if they could have been used. They're closer to the gen 1 boss cams. Gen 2 cams are .512 lift, 211/211 duration @.050 (265/265@ .006). Gen 1 cams are .472 lift and I belive the same duration.
Most racing cams I've seen just add more duration.
@@177SCmaro nice I have a gen 2 myself just basic bolt ons manifold. Intake. drive shaft. Upgraded phaser solenoids and all that good stuff but I’d like to build one for big boy power Forsure.
Great video! Your buddy needs to trash the fox! An get a new edge from you! Move everything over.
Cool video
Educate me, what was with all the smoke coming out (what i assume) the breathers?
Oils and what not burning off. It was the first heat cycle
Which turbo kit?
Very nice 👌 🇺🇸
How much power would a 3-2-1 motor with a 88mm single turbo can be able to make?
Depends on how much boost you willing to throw at it. I’ve seen some in the 1K HP range.
Yea that would be dope if you could!! 🐴💪🏾🏎💨
Do yall sell the 321 motors ?
Why gen 1 cams? Just curious if it’s is pricing thing or power better components then gen 2/3 timjng components/cams?
Gen 1 cams is only because of the Gen 1 control pack and ecu setup we have
Aftermarket Gen 1 cams can be used in place the same way. The cam spec and duration doesn’t matter is the cam position pickup style that is different between Gen 1,2,3
When you were pulling the car out of the shop the Turbo was not spinning
So for a build like this what control pack would you use?
Since it’s a Gen 3 short or long block I’d go with a 10r80 control pack
@@ColemanProductionsCPplanning to do this in my gen 1 f150, would I still need the 10r80 control pack
No ring gap increase with boost????????
Is there a reason the turbo wasn’t spinning ?
Honestly we don’t know. It’s been that way since new and we put it in. As soon as it gets rpm it spools. The turbo makes power and works fine. Maybe it’s too big to spin at idle? I wish I had a better answer. It is a fairly big turbo for a “small” displacement engine
Going to coyotes swap my 94 one day
When's the coyote tesla swap?
That would be awesome
How come we never see any boring or stroking of coyote motors?
Because it’s a waste of time and money
I'd buy a pre built engine 👍
Let me have that motor lol
12k for a stock motor build? You do realize you can get built long block motors that hold more power for much less delivered to your door.
Like?
@@joncollinsmiley6550 try doing a simple google search. A 321 build is max 7k. 12k is literally
Beyond rape.
Your lying with the boss Intake and gen 3 block your pushing 500 at least
Can I use the gen 3 short block on my gen 2 coyote?
Yes
