Not only is Angelina a very gifted vocalist but she is also a gifted writer/composer. This song is proof of that.
She wrote this about losing her beloved grandfather. At 78, I could have been her grandfather; I don't know his age when he passed. The song and her voice give me goosebumps during the song. I love this young woman's voice; I love it. She is a young lady with an old soul inside her. Mike

Rosalie, her maternal grandfather, was a Japanese Gentleman in the true sense of the meaning. He was known in Oslo, to help the homeless people with food and finding them jobs.
He took Angelina with him, so the streets of Oslo knew her, and she learned to care for others. I know she has brought dinner at Christmas to home less people in LA.

Listening to this recording, and the one Mery helped design the art for, of Million Miles always brings a stream of tears from the depth of I really don’t know where. It just touches my soul, every time, as if I am listening to it for the first time.
What you said about her grandpa and her helping people in the Oslo streets when Angelina was young makes so much sense and reveals a part of the depth.

She was balm to my soul, and since then, I gather info and stories about her. When very different sources tells the same without copying it, I am very sure it is info. this here I got from Angelinas social platforms.

Grandma Ellen with the awesome link. Love that one so much. Man does she go hard for him there. It's less perfect, but my favorite of her 5 versions of that song I've seen for whatever reason. Maybe because she's a bit starstruck and nervous and humble. Stumbling over thank you's at the end. And exhausted. Super cute. We don't get to see her push it a lot because she shouldn't do it often as a kid. But does this sitting down after likely a day in the studio.

She wrote this not long after her grandfather passed away and is singing to him. She was very close to him and had a painful period not having him around. The music video she created with the help of her grandmother, who is the one who influenced her direction in music by playing it all the time as she grew up.
From a posting she put on Facebook dated March 4, 2018,
" Our family lost a treasure today, my grandfather passed away. He was very close to me and have always supported me in everything I did. He always made me smile, laugh and gave me great life lessons. He was a man who got respect from all over the town, always helped people in need, he was the definition of a true gentleman and generous man with a big heart. He will be remembered by homeless people he helped to be able to make a living. He was in deep pain for a couple of months now, he will no longer suffer from the pain. May he rest in peace, our memories together will stay forever in my heart. Until we meet again. (heart emoji)", with his photo.

Angelina Jordan won Norway’s Got Talent at the age of 8 in 2014, the prize for winning was eighty thousand dollars, this money was donated to children’s charities. At age 8 her first charity performance was in Germany to raise money for heart disease. Again, at age 8 she does a telethon for Plan International Children’s Charity. Still at age 8 she performs for Norwegian Sea Rescue Society Charity. On the 12th of Dec still at age 8, she performs at Save The Child Nobel Peace Prize, 4 days later, even though she has a very bad cold, she performs for the Swedish Heroes Foundation against her doctor's orders. At age 10 she performed for the Norwegian Refugee Council Charity. Also, age 10 she performed in Seoul in South Korea for Rotary International to raise money for children’s vaccinations. Angelina Jordan comes from a very wealthy family and does need the money, she, and her family want to share her wonderful talent with the world. This is what makes AJ and her family so very special. Don’t worry what you do everything will be OK. Those words are in the she tried to sing this song when she was 12 when he died, but she couldn’t get that she broke down quite like a baby this time. Thank you for this. The song is actually dedicated to her grandfather who passed away a year or two previously. She has since refined her performance and has delivered an amazing slow version at her recent Norway concerts. Her voice is still getting better and better!
Our tiny little girl with the grownup voice was 17 on Jan. 10, 23 and is now 6'1" tall and could be a super model, but I hope the major portion of her career will be dedicated to her music and taking the world to a better place. I don't think she even realizes this power she holds over us and the need to hear that signature voice to fill that empty void within all of us. Angelina Jordan is in fact the "Benchmark" for all other vocalist to try as they might to achieve. I have a number of pictures of celebrities whose height is known, for example, Austin Butler, who played Elvis, is 6ft tall, and AJ published a picture of her standing next to him, she was at least 1 inch taller than him, and she had to look down at him.
