THERE'S MORE THAN 150 WATCH FACES you can install them through the huawei health app. This isn't a smart watch its a good looking fitness tracker. It shouldn't be compared to the galaxy or apple watches, it should be compared to the fitbit. Against the fitbit and similar fitness straps it holds up extremely well and in my opinion blows them out of the water in terms of design and a few extras.
Just got one for 64.00 on Amazon very impressed but my huawei m5 tablet wouldn't support the app ! Unbelievable tired everything ended up putting it my phone which was slightly annoying.
I had it for 2 years, and than it died. The display panel was not glues well and water came in when swimming in the sea, the watch went crazy beeping and vibrating and than died. Pictures attached, I do not know if warranty cover it as 2 years pass, but this should not happen.
Decent watch and decent price. I just need to get over the hangup that I have about no Google support and having to mess around installing the Huawei app store etc. Unfortunately (for me), that is the biggest undoing of this watch and why I think that prices may plummet quite quickly.
Bought this watch today. Looks good.. I am using nokia 7.2 phone and am not able to download HMS app because of which Huawei health app is not responding. I tried to download apk from unknown source but it's not getting installed in my phone. Can anybody help how to sync this watch with my phone?
Owning one right now, so many firmware issues on both the watch and Huawei Health. Heart rate settings can't be saved, always reverts to default. Anaerobic training effect is never calculated despite intense exercise. These problems have been brought up by others since last year and hasn't been fixed yet, it's better to spend your money elsewhere.
Please compare galaxy watch 3 with honor magic watch 2. It wil b interesting to c a watch 1/3 the price but having almost all practical features except rotating bezel

How does it do for differentiating between exercising and something like, for example, driving a forklift? I used to use the Samsung Gear S2 and it was forever recording a day at work on the forklift as either cycling or jogging with no way to cancel or remove recorded information.
Does the Huawei Watch GT 2e have stand alone gps. I do not want to take my phone with me on a run. I use apps like STRAVA where I can upload my run when i am done?
Great review, I've got the watch now but can't get the extra with faces on the Health app ? is this because I have iOS ? I'm gutted I was looking forward to playing about with this feature.
@@cherrymetha3185 Still got the watch, I had problems using it with the Apple's crap version of the app, in the end I gave up. I downloaded the android version of the app on my amazon fire and hey presto everything works since then, and now I can change and get more watch faces.

I get that people have different views on what budget is but to me budget is a mi band 3 or 4 so 30 ish max for a watch fitness thing and 160 isn't very cheap. Ik it has more features but 160 budget... Damn

However, as you guess, the maps is not displayed directly in your watch, so you should use the app to watch the track. This watch also have storage spaces to save your music playlist. To transfer the songs to this device, you may upload it from your phone apps using a bluetooth connection. Cheers
when i use training mode with GPS + music i cant control songs anymore until training sesion is over, that the issue with this watch ,otherwise i m happy with battery life in compare with other watches this one rule

Sorry, 46 milometer is enormous. I get that smart watches are bigger than traditional watches, but a normal man's watch size is 38mm or 42mm. I personally use 42mm watches and they definitely stand out on my wrist, and I'm not a skinny dude like you. 46mm is bonkers big.
You clearly forgot something very important. You said you have a 42 mm watch. But hey, please report what is the thickness of your watch? GT2e is ONLY 10,5 mm thick. For example, Garmin 645 is 13,5 mm thick. And yes, this is very important! So 42 mm could be more ridiculous on your wrist them 46...
Do not get this watch if you're a swimmer, even though it is able to count laps accurately. It WILL get water damaged after a year of use. There's a huge design defect where the screen and the body sits, as water will eventually seeped through. The screen went fuzzy one day and the display went blank. I took it to service centre. They just replied with "water damaged". All l I did was use it for swimming to count laps. The pool was less than 4 feet deep. Watch was 1.5 years old and repair will cost the full price of the watch plus another 20% on top. Huawei claims their watch is only water resistant, not water proofed. In other words, you can only use it at the sink and other light activities. Forget about using it to count laps as you risk destroying the watch forever.
Bought this last Friday. It looks cool. But I am happier with my Amazfit Verge Lite's performance. Part of me says right now that I should have gone for the Amazfit GTR instead.
What's better about the performance, if you don't mind me asking? I was a bit torn between this one and the GTR, but thought the overall quality was better with this one and I think it looks a little better.

The first model did not have most accurate GPS tracking... I tested this while cycling. It was no match to Polar or Garmin... New model is better.
Does it have built in GPS ?
Now you made me reconsider the buy. I had all that with MiWatch I paid 30eur 😢

Huawei watches don't support 3rd party apps like Strava unfortunately. There is is a petition to get them to do it but nothing yet.

GPS is on for the watch battery doesn't go more than 6 days. Turned off GPS from phone but no success.
