So much ‘’good stuff’’ being released right now…hard to keep up. 😱
haha yes! thanks for your time taken by doing these videos!
Thanks for the great tutorial. I couldn’t get the calibration to work correctly on the Bravo until I noticed the throttle slider on my thrustmaster airbus sidestick was conflicting. Once I cleared the assignment it all worked like magic. Your hard work saves the community hours of frustration. I really appreciate all that you do. Thanks!!!
omgggg thankyoooou I was going absolutely crazy trying to get it to work. I always forget that the throttle on the airbus stick exists. I have literally no use for it
Many thanks Mark. Was lost until I saw your video. Clear and to the point. You`re great!
You timing is on point again, the second I search for it you upload a video. Cheers!
Thanks Mark! So nice to have someone that has answers to the exact problems I am experiencing! Really appreciate your videos and help!
Excellent Mark, as always. I had a "thank goodness" moment when I realised you had made a video on this, as I had failed to figure it out myself. I find these videos so useful, thank you for taking the time and being so faultlessly methodical in how you make your how to videos.
The reverse thrust settings, was the icing on the cake. Thanks for your effort.
Another brilliant vid from the Honeycomb config Wizard! Many thanks.
Thank you so much for this tutorial! I spent way too many hours last night messing with the throttle levers and reversers. One view of your video and everything is working perfectly. Wonderful job of making the steps easy to follow and great job explaining everything that needs to be done!
Fantastic work as always Mark. I'm up and running and off up into the Blue Yonder! Many thanks.
Mark, as always, your vid is great and to the point. Outstanding! Thanks!
you are my hero
Decided to try the Fenix after flying Toliss in XPLANE. Your video was of great help. Thanks so much
I had tried for a couple hours trying to set thd fenix throttles using the bravo standard setup with no luck.
I came across your video and after following your guide I was done 40 minutes later. Awesome!!!!
Thank you so much.
YOU ROCK! You are my "GO-TO" channel for this.
Thank you so much Mark for your tutorials, very helpful !!
Thanks Mark! i really love how you explain the things! amazing!👌
Thanks Mark. I really appreciate these tutorials. Good job.
Another necessary and outstanding tutorial. Thank you so much.
excellent lesson, I knew we can count on you with the Bravo
Thanks Mark, your videos are very helpful. Appreciate it very much!
Great video Mark!
Great tutorial! I’ve been struggling to figure it out on my own then found your channel. New subscriber here. An addition to my config that I did was for arming and disarming the spoiler. I used the switch closest to the spoiler lever. Using the same method you described for the landing gear on the B737, I used “on release” to arm the spoiler when the switch is down. “on release” to disarm the spoiler when the switch is up. This works perfectly to arm and to be able to set the speed brake.
Welcome to the channel 😀, thanks for the spoiler config, I’ll try that 👍
Only through this video is that I could make my Bravo Throttles work with this amazing plane, thanks to you. I use FSUIPC and it is not doing the trick. I'm also having all kind of problems with the Bravo Autopilot, I don't know if you are going through the same, but hey, one day at a time. Thanks again for all your help.
Thank you! Super easy to follow, got my reversers going!
Thank you 👍
Thank you for this Sir. That reverser and the flaps were doing my head in.I have the older version. All working now. It's a pain in the A.. though to have to go trough all this.LOL.
TYSM For the flaps i diddnt know how to do them ur a life saver :)
Thanks a lot for helping me so much!!
Excellent tutorial Mark, I could have done with this last night lol. You're becoming a flight sim super hero, we expect you to be in lycra head to toe in the next video. With your underpanrts on the outside and the sim hangar logo emblazened across your chest :-) BTW really enjkoyed the river run last week I delayed going away for work to fly with the group. Excellent as always, thanks for organising them they are a real treat.
🤣😂🤣 me in Lycra….now that’s something even I wouldn’t want to see!
Excellent Mark!!! Thank you!!!
Thank you. Finally, i can set up the reverse!!!
once again you are an absolute life saver! thanks!!!
Thanks for doing this!!!
Really helpful and appreciated, thanks!
Thank you very much for this amazing video. It helped a lot.
thank you so much for this!
Thanks a lot. Great help
Just purchased the Fenix today and your video got me up and running in no time. Thank You! I am now looking for a solution for the Bravo switches and MCP anD lights as neither are working.
No they do not appear to be compatible unfortunately. Update from Honeycomb needed.
This Video its so great. Thanks for this 🙏
Thanks Mark... Very Helpful
Thank you Mark. I've tried to get the reverse thrust working but there was no instructions before this (atleast I didnt find)
Mark--fantastic job for this ex-commercial pilot (not Jets) it took me a while as there wer lots of conflicts on the Bravo and some non-functioning throttle reverse sticks but now all functioning, enjoyed working through. I wonder if it might be easier starting from a blank new setup in the Bravo rather than say the 737 Max which I used.
The Fenix A320 and PMDG 737 are the top dogs rn next to the BA146, and MD80
Thank you very much for this excellent and helpful tutorial! Eventually I was successful in setting up the Bravo-throttle controls for the reverse trust in Spad.Next thanks to your turtorial, I am using Spad.Next mostly because of the automatic controls-assigments to the aircrafts.
is there a free alternative. in xplane, one uses something called the honeycomb configurator and uses datarefs to do this sort of thing
@@antb1xp963 I do not know a free valuable alternative.
@@ursschneider3016 real bummer that. Kind of annoying I have to shell out money to do something as basic as use my plug and play hardware
@@antb1xp963 You do not need Spad.Next or a similar product. You can configure your Bravo with MSFS and the Fenix alone, see video.
@@ursschneider3016 where is the video?
This exact video what I've been looking for. Thanks for showing this. I'm hoping you have one for the FBW A320 as well?
Many thanks you are a Saveur 🤗👍
Thank you Sir!
Great video, Mark! Highly appreciated. Can we we expect a similar video re use of light switches and dials and autopilot functions, respectively for the Fenix? That would be gorgeous!
Despite my best efforts it appears most of the switches etc don’t function as expected in the Fenix with the Bravo.
@@SimHangerFS any update?
@@antb1xp963 no not compatible without using a third party app such as FSUIPC etc.
@@SimHangerFS have you got it working using fsuipc?
@@antb1xp963 no haven’t had time to try that.
Absolutely great tutorial on Bravo Throttles settings ... ✈️, would I dare to buy that product already.?
Great video Mark, were you able to get the autopilot selectors working? Like selecting an altitude with the dials?
No haven’t had time yet
Mark, thank you so much for your outstanding tutorials. You have been a lifesaver so many times. I do have an issue that no one seems to be able to help me with. My trim wheel will never move especially when I am flying the PMDG 737. I am so frustrated because I have tried everything I know.
Note it will not move if on autopilot, the aircraft manages the trim. For help this may be of real use to you ….czcams.com/video/Sx6KJ0dEtus/video.html
@@SimHangerFS Thank you so much for the reply. I know when the AP is on its controlled. But this is at all times. The trim wheel will not move at all. In any plane. I have even done everything in that video that you linked.
@@royalsimulations977 check the trim wheel buttons are recording in windows calibration…if not then the wheel is faulty.
thank you so much man!!!
Thank you very much !
Génial, thanks
Hi Mark - Happy Sunday my friend. Would love to see you do a video on how to manipulate the push/pull switches in the Fenix using G2 controllers and/or the mouse in VR. I can't figure it out for the life of me ..lol.. many thanks
Hello Mark - FYI I reached out to Fenix support. You have to be in legacy mode in VR for the cockpit switches to function correctly. Hope this helps.
I’ve learnt so much from this channel. Big thank you, Mark. Some coffee coming up😀
One problem with the Fenix and the Bravo for me, the autopilot panel not working. Works ok in the Boeings. In the 320NEO it works if I PULL the switches with the mouse. However this not works in the Fenix.
The Fenix uses non-standard (not default) simconnect calls. It requires a third party app such as spadnext etc unfortunately.
@@SimHangerFSOk thx. Not that fond of extra addons. With that price tag FenixSim should provide an “in-house” solution.
@@franzbri many thanks for supporting the channel, always appreciated 😀
Thank you so much for your clear help?
Mark, LOL!! Step one is to buy a new plane, step two is look for your Bravo Throttle video. Thanks!
😂
thank you grat job fantastic
Thank you bud.
Great video, thank you very much! Like and subscribe for sure!
THX Sir take care
Thanks so much. I would have never come up with these settings. How did you figure it out? For me that is totaly against all logik. great work you do here. MAny thanks and may god bless you!
Great video, In my case after I finish calibration, I go to options menu, and when I go back to the sim the throttle levers dont work. They go all the way to TOGA position.
Thank you ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Thanks for the wonderful video. I followed step-by-step but the only issue that I have the thrust reverse. I have to go forward to activate it instead of going back any help with that?
Hi Mark, I followed your instructions and most are working ok. But for some reason when I power up the Fenix I get no leds and I'm not able to move my landing gear selector. Not sure where I've gone wrong.
Hey Mark thank you for the great video I have the FBW A32NX installed
Do you know if I’ll have to make any changes to your your set up?
The FBW set up is different.
excelent video, i need help with alpha yoke please, settings in the mcdu and sensivilities, thanks
Very many thanks Mark, this is a great help. A question: have you found any way to map the light switches on the Alpha yoke (or perhaps using the seven switches on the face of the Bravo quadrant) to the Fenix A320 light switches? I can't seem to get any workable setting. Thanks again, John (Australia).
Hi John, no I have not been able to achieve this. Doesn’t look compatible. May need to use a third party app such as Axis & Ohs. I haven’t had time.
@@SimHangerFS Thanks for the speedy reply Mark! One can only hope that Honeycomb and/or Asobo come up with a solution at some stage (not holding my breath). Love your work! Cheers mate.
For the landing gear, I think you also need to reset the action type to Press (not release).
It sets to press by default. 👍
Amazing video. Without you it would be impossible to figure out. I have only one thing not working properly. The reverses sometimes works sometimes doesn`t. I followed all the steps. However, upon pulling the reverse lever up and moving the throttles to Detent, the levers go up but the throttles don`t come to Detent Position. Sometimes it does, sometimes doesn`t. Do you know what can I do? Thank you so much Mark. You are amazing. Your way to explain is clear and accurate.
Hi, Fenix recently made changes to their controls. I still need to find a solution to this problem…your not alone!
Hi Mark, very informative tutorial. You helped me a lot. now the Fenix is working with my honeyway throttle. But there is another problem. I tried to configure my throttle in connection with the
FBW a320neo aircraft. The procedure of configuration is different in comparison to the Fenix aircraft. it's not working. Maybe you have an idea? cheers Bernd
The FBW aircraft uses bespoke calls (local variables). You would need something like Spadnext to configure.
What an amazing video as always, can i ask a question, with the flybywire a320 you could setup a flight from the main menu and this would put it into the MCDU that doesn’t seem to happen with this mod, is this correct? 🤔
Yes correct, input manually or via SimBrief as far as I am aware.
What about configuring the flaps? Is that only in the FMC?
Hello, I really find your tutorials and reviews very helpful and easy to understand. I am having problems with the operation of the trim wheel in the Fenix, whereas the FBW has not problem with the same button settings. I have the Fenix configured as described in your tutorial using the Airbus levers. Button 23/22 are assigned and are not assigned to anything else. The trim wheel does not react to the input from the quadrant nor does it allow movement in sim with the mouse. I have been working with Fenix on this and as yet no solution. I have a demo of my issue and if you have time I can send you the video link. Note I had not removed the increase decrease assignment to the increase/decrease lever at the time of the video and a recalibration within the MCDU now has the throttle moving on the axis with the main throttle. Any suggestions would be most helpful for this senior. 🙂
The trim wheel in the aircraft will not react if the autopilot is activated. Make sure pilot assist functions are not active. The bravo trim wheel is not the best, you need to rotate it slowly. I don’t have your issue so if the afore going doesn’t do it, you must have something conflicting with the trim actions.
Thank you!Is the config for reversers and axes thesame for FBW?
More or less. Bravo configs on my channel.
thanks Mark, couldn't find the video about FBW A320nx and honeycomb on your channel though.
@@SimHangerFS
Autopilot buttons don't work for me with A320 (fenix or fbw A32n) but they work for PMDG 737.
Any video for setting up the HondaJet yet :)
Hi Mark, thanks for your excellent videos. Have you noticed the Lights on Bravo are not working with Fenix A320? Mine are not working but work just fine when I switch to other planes including FBW. I checked with Honeycomb but cannot see any upgrades.
Same here, switches not working. The issue here is on the bravo click up and down are two different buttons, making toggle functions not work. Fenix have also used some non-standard LVARS for some functions.
Nice tutorial, but when i configure the flaps lever, it does not react in the sim. i made the flaps axis and in the fmc but it does not do anything in the virtual cockpit.
excellent ! Is there any solution to get the auto pilot Knobs working on the Honeycomb Bravo and Fenix A320
Not that I have found so far without using third party apps.
you can set the flaps Full on the revers axis and set to releas Flaps 3 and you can use the hole axis :)
The reverse axis is actually just a button press. You can set almost anything to a button press.
Hay SimHanger , do you know if you can run two monitors at the same when playing MS Flight Sim 2020.
So one screen is showing the out side view and another showing the control panel area.
Just wondered, cheers..
Not yet…coming in next sim update or one thereafter. Expect August.
Could you also make a video about how to set up the Bravo for the LVFR airbus? I am having difficulty with it being at idle when all the way down. It seems to want to go into reverse.
Sorry I don't have that aircraft
GRACIAS
Hi Mark , in the process of finalizing a deal on the Pimax crystal as I have no clue do I need this lighthouse faceplate peace for only using with flight simulator or not . Thanks a lot
No you don’t need it. It has inside-out tracking.
Hi, I just got the bravo quadrant and saw your video! I am generally pleased with it but when I pull the throttles back to just the detent before the reverser position, my engines spool up and the small reverser indicators rise at anything below the idle position. It seems as though I am unable to calibrate the throttles for the flybywire a320. Neither the mcdu, nor the flypad offer any calibration of these throttles. Any ideas, please? Also, the flap lever doesn't want to play at being a flap lever, although I do have the flap paddle set to lower and raise the flaps by multiple presses. Is this interfering with the operation of the flap handle? Many thanks!
Since making that video Fenix have changed some of the simconnect calls used by the A320.
is there a viable fix/workaround for that or is it simply a case of pushing the throttles forward from now on?@@SimHangerFS
Pls help Mark, I've followed this perfectly, watched it 10 times, spent all day on it but I cant get it to work, my set up is exactly the same as yours, throttles wont go past idle, when I increase goes into reverse, the control options page shows I need reverse axis ticked to make the white slider increase, but even when I select reverse axis it still wont go past idle? MCDU set up also shows it going into full reverse thrust when I select climb or TOGA thrust
Hi Mark - thanks for the tutorial. Some of my levers don't have the same number as yours - "hold Throttle reverse thrust" portion of your video as an example - your levers are numbers 10 and 11, mine show as numbers 30 and 48. I'm on a new pc and wondering if this could pose an issue. Also on Windows 11 - could that be the issue?
Yours show as 30 and 48 as you are using the airbus throttle levers and not the default commercial handles. There is a separate section in the video that shows exactly what changes to make for the airbus handles. These two handle sets have different button assignments
I followed this tutorial exactly a couple days ago and it worked perfectly, now when my throttles are at idel, they are in reverse idle in game
Recalibrate in the EFB
Do you mean the FMC?
@@StormTuber yes sir.
@@SimHangerFS yeah, I’ve re-followed your video tutorial a couple times, no luck
Same Problem Here. Can you help?
thanks for your tutorials. I can use this configuration for the FBW? or do you have a specific tutorial for FBW? I ask you why when you put the bravo in idle, it goes to full reverse. on the lookout Thank you.
No haven’t got round to the FBW …yet! 😀
@@SimHangerFS I will look forward to it with great interest! Many of your tutorials have helped me a lot. I think you are a person who provides great support for many of us interested in aerial simulation. very friendly!
have followed the video and everything works apart from the reverses going into the reverse idle detente, the reverses do work but go straight into full reverse, what am i doing wrong?
I'm having issues, button 30 and 48, the reverse levers don't exist for me, MSFS doesn't pick anything up if I pull them
On my config, work 90% ok, but the falps on fenix won't work, need some config on the flight sim like you did on 737... could you make a video config the flaps for fenix?
i duplicate the profile from the 737 and at flaps page on flightsim i have only FLAPS AXIS REVER AXIS and DECREASE FLAPS
Great video and explanation. I'm facing a weird issue. I set up exactly as you did but when I move the throttle levers forward on by bravo the reverse throttle gets engaged in the game. If anyone can help, thanks in advance.
Check your calibration of throttles in the Fenix configuration
Hi Mark, I have the Velocity one flight yoke & quadrant, have you set up the the Fenix A320 with the VF1 as I've been struggling with it especially the reverse thrust settings. Any help would be much appreciated
No, but the bindings will be the same for the V1F
Hi Mark, I followed your tutorial and everything seems to work now. Thanks for this & much appreciated
Hey there, could you come back to this video, I am not sure what has changed, but when I lift my reverse levers on the HC Bravo, the throttles don't move into reverse idle. I need to moves the throttles before in game it moves to idle, it will snap to full reverse when my controls are all the way back, and then gradually move through the reverse zone as long as the levers are lifted.
I'm in the same boat since block 2 update.
The throttle in the fenix is not Moving when im giving thrust to my honeycomb throttle😢
How is it flying the A320 with this throttle seeing there are no detents? Also have you tried the Honeycomb's Airbus throttle pack - I wonder how that's supposed to be different from the default (Boeing) ones that are in this video? Thank you
This video shows both sets of handles, and the difference configs. The Bravo does have detents.
