The tenors though...soundin' like TEENAGERS! They running them top notes with EASE!!! Really the whole choir sounds like they have all taken EXCELLENT care of their voices across than 50 years of singing.
The mother in the corner, I believe its Mother Williams she reminds me of my great grandma so much, it makes me want to cry. RIP Dist. Missionary H. Watson.
vincent i appreciate you sharing the legacy of your late godmother, the late dr. joyce taylor, along with institutional radio choir.......i've admired since my childhood years.....my prayers are with you continually.......
This is REAL choir singing. There is NO special group in front of the choir with individual mics giving you a false “clean” choral sound (I hate that!) ALL of the choir is singing which makes a TRUE gospel sound. Can I get a witness?
I can't stand it either! It's called CHEATING and not wanting to TEACH your choir how to SING like we USED to teach. Nowadays they want the singers to come already Pro-Level because these leaders are too lazy to TEACH them
I love to hear Joyce sing this song as a youngster her voice was so awesome to me. I lead this song in my choir..she was my inspiration. Rest In Peace~~Dr Joyce Taylor.
@corneliuslb Hey! Please dont comment on any of my videos since you have a problem with all of them.... Keep your comments to yourself. thanks be blessed!
We used to sing this when I was a little boy but I never knew who recorded it. I am not surprised it was Institutional. Refreshing Spring was "Institutional South" when it came to choir music. LOL We sang so much of their music.
Yes, Refreshing Spring is the choir singing behind Myrna Summers on Uncloudy Day, I Found Jesus And I'm Glad, So Glad I'm Here, and I'll Keep Holding On. It's the church where she was born and raised.
@@dougiemac8417 Douglas, I am smiling so widely at your comment. Now, Bishop Bouknight was my great-uncle Solomon. The Bouknight Specials were my great-uncle Richard's children. Solomon and Richard were both pastors in DC and sometimes would travel together. One time, they came to my dad's church (Solomon's and Richard's nephew) in New England and churched so hard, we literally put a hole in the sanctuary floor!
Now these children are singing, you don't see that shakey, mouth thing going on..... now this is pure singing in the old good way listen, I love it. I hate that old shakey mouth fake singing.
Thanks for posting this!!!! Glory hallelujah!!! Thank you Jesus!!
