Looks like a beautiful park! How was the experience? I am looking for a good redwoods campground not too far from Los Ángeles. Big Basin was originally my destination but apparently its closed for camping because of a fire. Again, thank you for uploading this video.

Apologies for the delayed reply, I just got home from a summer trip. Portola Redwoods SP was incredibly quiet and peaceful. I don't know if I would consider it close to LA since the park is well off the major highways. Not long to get up into the Santa Cruz area, but the drive down into the park is a long winding one lane wide road. That did add to the seclusion and I would definitely go back to spend more time there!
