Awwww that's sad yeah I actually saved my cat from a friends dog that was about to kill it and still have him to this day he mostly sleeps all day but hey at least I didn't have to pay like $250 buck for a cat. Kinda also the same thing with my dog he was beaten and put in a refuge the owner broke his 2 of his ribs and he had scars all over him and he's such a loving dog and just wants affection and it's a boxer :( but no he's healthy and such a beautiful dog now:)

Come to think of it, most of my dogs more or less found me, Scruffy, a mid-size Jack Russell mix was the same way, poor boy wandered into the yard and pretty much claimed me. Lived with me for a year and a half before he got sick and passed away.
Good dog as well, but he had been badly abused, he was skittish if you raised your hand and walked with a bad limp on his left hind leg.
