- What is the most important thing church leaders can do to help people in their congregations who struggle with same-sex attraction?
Jackie Hill Perry shares what helped her out the most and the powerful lesson she learned: “I'm able to craw to Jesus and know that only he can make me whole.”
I love the way you humble yourself to say 'not a fraction of me but a whole of me' Jesus help me to see you as my Savior , thanks for the courage to share the good news that happened to you.
Thank you, Jackie for your testimony. The mockers on here are just sad. But I would sure appreciate it if you could say more about HOW the leadership did that for you.
When I was back in Colorado, a man was baptized the same time I was, but he ended up leaving the church and I believe it was because he felt condemned by a conversation he overheard (not directly about him, but about homosexuals in general--I honestly don't think anyone really suspected he was gay, and I don't know that for 100% but strongly suspected it)...anyway, I tried to reach out to him without asking him outright (he wanted a more "liberal" church...and the sad thing about that is he's looking for a church to cater to his flesh, rather than a church that is teaching obedience to God's word). Anyway, I was left feeling like so how do we handle this in the future...for someone who wants to overcome (as we all need help overcoming in areas of our lives). So I would appreciate hearing from you HOW they helped you with that. May God continue to bless and lead you.
thank you so much Jackie! I talked to you not to long ago at your event down here in Cincinnati!! (I had the red long hair) your a blessing. today was day 1 of me turning completely to God this journey won't be easy but your videos are helping me MORE THAN YOU KNOW! God bless
Jackie, you're amazing!!! I'm so glad you found freedom in ALL AREAS of your life! What (some) on here fail to realize is that you're now free from bitterness, hurt, anger, stewardship. That alone should be celebrated! Maybe some here are still struggling with those things. I'm NOT TALKING about sexuality, but just stuff NO ONE wants to be...like bitter! Angry. In that journey you found your identity and that's great! But if people feel sad about that - heck, they should AT LEAST be happy that you're at peace with yourself!
you should try it man, I promise, just try it !
I'd love to hear more of this interview
Man, Jackie ALWAYS hits the nail on the head!!!! Amazing!!! 💯👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽🙌🏽☝🏾
wow...GOD BLESS U JACKIE PERRY ...U ARE MY INSPIRATION
wow! that was so good! It's true, it's not just one of our "sins" that needs savings. We as a whole person, with all of our sins and hurts, that needs saving.
So much yes.
Much needed word
She's amazing
Amen
Amen!!!!!!!!!!
In the description of the video it should be crawl not craw. Thanks. God bless.
The comment section really needs to be disabled. It's a mess.
You're right, it should be disabled.
My daughter feel some kind of way she asked me do I love her she says she's bisexual
SO what you're saying is that being homosexual can and must be healed?
+Veto We all need to be healed from something. If we want the God of Abraham, Issac and Jacob to be our God then yes, homosexuality can and must be healed...just like if we are an adulterer we must be healed or a fornicator, we must be healed. Fill in the blank...yes, we must be transformed.
Diane Watson not what she said. She said SHE needed to be healed.
This is supposed to be a parody, right? Otherwise it's just sad...
+AlyLunatika it is truth
this is hilarious
Being gay or trans is NOT a sin.
Lion Altroz maybe true but in Christianity (which I believe Jackie represents), having thoughts of same sex attraction or/and acting on those thoughts is surely a sin.
Dear Jackie:
You're not straight, you are you and what you are is a Lesbian. There is nothing wrong with being gay, but you were pressured by believers at a time when you were vulnerable and reaching out to someone, they took advantage of you.
What you need to do is be comfortable in your own skin, accept who you are and love yourself.
'Cus I'll tell you what, sweetheart: If people are coming up to you telling you you're flawed for your sexuality, then it's false love. And for SOME weird reason there are people out there that think that being gay is a bad thing, which I honestly don't get.
Take care. Please at least heed my comment into some small consideration, and I hope you come out of this more intelligent than before. You've yet to reach your revelation.
+EPrimeify, that is incorrect.
She's not wrong for repenting per se. She is wrong for thinking there was something wrong with her in the first place.
+Danielle Danielle 💣 Exactly!! You articulated that beautifully, couldn't have said it better myself. Your response just made my day. I hope everyone hating on Jackie reads your awesome comment. God bless you!
Have you ever actually listened to her story? No one pressured her out of her lifestyle. Just because you don't like what she's saying doesn't mean it isn't true.
Danielle Danielle thanks for responding so compassionately!!! I need to screenshot this! & who says believers don’t uplift each other? Not enough yet but it’s being done.
Amen
