It's pretty simple: KD is overrated.
Curry is leagues ahead of him. Not on pure ability, but in leadership, consistency, etc. KD is a really good player that shrinks when it's all on him. We can talk about him being clutch in the playoffs and this and that, but the pressure wasn't on him because if he couldn't get it done, he had another super star who can.
All he has done is prove Draymond Green right. They don't need him. They did win before he got there. They just need green, klay, and Steph to all be healthy and not suspended and they are simply unstoppable.
But they lost against LeBron after winning 73 games!
Yes because Draymond got suspended and changed the entire complection of the series. Getting KD was supposed to alleviate one of those 3 being hurt or out and their ability to lose. And to an extent sure, it's worked. They won the title each year.
But they never had to play in the finals without Steph.
He's the one player they can't, truly, do without. Sure they advanced out of round one without him. Big whoop. Wcf and finals is when the warriors are pushed. Never did it without Steph.
That's the sign of how great Steph is. Because everyone around him gets better with his presence. That simply doesn't happen with KD. It's why KD is overrated.
If you have the stats and achievements to boost it ain't overrated...
Are you serious, overrated, shrinks when it's all on him? Steph didn't just get hurt four games ago. The warriors were doing just fine until the incident with Draymond. The warriors won the first two rounds last year with Steph out with injury. The Warriors only have Durant because GS lost after being up 3-1 to the Cavs while they had Steph and Klay. That's the reason KD is there now. Y'all really resent this guy and want to blame him for everything. Undeserved.

KD does not do that for this team, or any team rather.

At the end of the day, it's a team effort, meaning not one person is to take the fall for repetitive lost games. What used to set the Warriors apart, besides their superb technical skills, was their mental strength rooted in unity, the ability they had to keep it together and come back on top when a game seemed lost: in short, their mental endurance. Their focus isn't what it used to be, and injured players or not, I think that's the real culprit. If there's an urgent problem to fix, that's the one (and for the bench to be able to sustain several fast pace games in a row for longer stretches of time). Maybe right now they should implement the playoff regiment and block out the noise for a bit... They're obviously a smart team, they'll figure out how to find their footing again. Hopefully for the fans this will be sooner rather than later.

2012/13 they made it to the 2nd round even though WB got hurt in the 1st round
2013/14 they made it to the conference finals even though WB played less than 50 reg season games
2014/15 they missed the playoffs completely because KD was hurt and played less than 30 games
2015/16 we all remember the 3-1 lead.
My point is, if you think KD and Klay cant carry the warriors to the playoffs without Curry and Green your crazy. The whole team would adjust and they would still be a good team in the west.
