My lady killed me when we were watching thing talk to Enid and says "Slow down! It's terrible when you stutter!" I died that night.
That's a call back to "Addams Family Values" when Gomez is trying to understand Thing when he was frantically signing the Wednesday was in danger.
I did the same thing! I’m happy to know I’m not the only one who can quote that movie by heart.
@@johndicken3533 Actually it's the first Addams Family film. Morticia left the motel to go speak with Fester in person and she was held prisoner. Thing followed her, though, raced back to Gomez, and was trying to sign to him what had happened but he was too frantic, which is when Gomez says the line, and then Thing spills Gomez's cereal and taps it out in Morse code with the spoon.

In regards to Principal Weems dying, I love to see them treat the Principal position like the DatDA position in Harry Potter, every season have a new, amazingly talented actor/actress take up the role.

The actor who plays Tyler knew the whole time that not only was he the monster but that he knew it and the whole thing with Wednesday, well they told him to pretend to be a CW character, but it was all part of the ruse to keep tabs on Wednesday, to keep her close to unlock the curse, and to let her get focused on red herrings. Its actually a fun prospect that he escaped and is now just a bad guy on his own (and I also imagine from bts stuff that the show will welcome the actor back in a bigger role)
One big Laurel clue that I missed was in episode 6, she hands Wednesday a copy of Frankenstein (other people point to this whole coffee order thing back in episode 4).
I too am of the season 2 story being basically save Bianca from the cult as the main mission with some side stories.
Wednesday is the last person to torture Tyler and he managed to get out of his drugged trance in the van just as they drove past her...I think he's going to have a hard time fighting her or leaving her alone because of it...
I love how Tyler went full Hans from Frozen 😂
Jay’s blooper had me in tears, and Adam being so chill about it! I laughed so hard!!!
I wished they kept Tyler's line in the edit where he said he asked what does it feel like to lose. I would have loved to see their reactions to that line, lol.

I've watched that episode and that scene so many times and have cried every time. It's such an earned moment.
I big thing people forget is the shot of Thornhill entering the crypt at the end of episode 3 I believe. After that, they start throwing in a bunch of misdirects and it tends to get overlooked.
The way I cried like a baby when Wednesday and Enid hugged was something interesting lmao
A clue that pointed to Thornhill (Christina Ricci) that many people seem to have missed is her drink of choice at the Weathervane. In the episode 3, Thornhill tells the Mayor that she orders a daily matcha latte. But in episode 4, Tyler says that he knows Thornhill because she comes in for a "double-cap, no foam, two pumps of sugar-free vanilla"

I only just caught something that might be nothing or a really deeeeeep-cut reference. When Tyler says she was dead and Wednesday says "I'm feeling much better now." John Astin, the original Gomez, was a reoccuring character on the TV show Night Court, a formerly committed mental patient who who would often tell wild stories about his past and would always end them with a weird smile and his catchphrase "but I'm feeling much better now."

I was SO mad about Weems tho... Big fan of Gwendoline Christie and shapeshifters in fantasy. And I really liked the dynamic between Weems and Wednesday.
Christie has pointed out that we haven't seen her put in the ground...😜 (but sadly I don't think they can pull off bringing her back)

So I dont know if people have brought this up, but Christina Rice wasn't originally who was cast for the role. It was going to be Thora Birch but she dropped out at the last second. I wonder if it had been her if it would have seemed so "obvious"

I think they've been dropping subtle hints the whole season. Like in the beginning she mentions Frankenstein and Frankenstein's monster and in the last episode she talks about meeting new/different people and ✨bonding✨ with them
Looking back on the series, did anyone catch the (possible) clue? Ricci gave Wednesday the "Frankenstein " book as a gift.
I definitely caught that, but only in hindsight (specifically when Wednesday was asking the therapist about the removed body parts). I was kicking myself for missing it though.
She also mentioned the thing about meeting new people and ✨bonding✨

I seriously don't get why people think that was out of character for tyler. He was pushing her around since eps 2 when he was like "wah wah I thought we liked each other" and she never gave any sign of that. He had been doing gaslighting and lying since the beginning.

The Principal may very well be still alive. If you notice Lurch in the first few episodes, his eyes are white, like a dead corpse. However when you see him at the end, his eyes have color. Could have been a miss by post editing, but I think it might be a subtle hint that she is alive.
To be fair, Gwendoline Christie will be extremly busy filming season 2 of Sandman.

Great reactions to this entire season. You know Thornhill/Laurel Gates is dead because she tried to kill Thing and Wednesday promised her a slow and painful death for that. It's very cool that they left that part up to our imaginations though.
Jay, to your credit my favorite Burton movie is Big Fish, which is restrained from his spooky style just enough. That movie is a masterpiece.

Funny how Americans think this dance is so phenomenal...I mean it's creative and Jenna did an AMAZING job at displaying Wednesday's attitude, but she said herself that one of her biggest inspiration was Nina Hagen who did so many elements of that dance 30 years ago

Jay, I'm with you. I love puzzles, and soon as I start watching something like this, I'm putting together who is who.
I scoffed when this show was first announced, but the joke's on me I guess since I ended up loving it lol. I would've liked ONE more episode since the finale was a bit rushed, but at the very least there's a second season and there's still some mysteries to solve.
Tragically, LISA LORING, the ORIGINAL WEDNESDAY ADDAMS, died January 28, 2023 because of a stroke.

At 6:25, it's actually not! I was fooled by this at first too. But go back to when the three punks screwed up the dance. The moment the colored kid says maybe they should back off, the other kid asks if he's going soft like Tyler. Because Tyler used to be more extreme like when he trashed the dude's mural (As mentioned in that same episode). The truth is, Tyler didn't go soft. He got BORED, doing pansy shit. He's more soft spoken now. But we're all treating him like a Twihard vampire, when in REALITY, He's TOM, MORVOLO RIDDLE !!! Sure he doesn't act out anymore, but now he's straight up murdering people in the middle of the night. And just to be clear, in this very scene he straight up tells Wednesday that he remembers/is fully aware of everything he does and loves it !
Goulash is a soup with spice and is extremely delicious. Popular in Eastern Europe. Also.. I often think if subbing to the Pat but I really don't want to see "butt stuff" between you two lol. Live your best lives!

My theory. We never get told the ultimate fate of Tyler's mum. I think the woman at the beginning who is giving the guy a lift is Tyler's mother and that it's her killing the guy later in the woods.
I think maybe Xander is Telekinesist. Xander use Telekinesis to move the ink in his painting and make them alive. Eugene migth be a telepath and able to communicate with the bees. More to see next season. So exited. Great review guys ^^.

Gwendoline Christie could still come back in season 2. She is a shapeshifter and maybe when she got stabbed in the neck she's shifted the shape of the inside of her body to where the poison just flowed out her foot onto the floor and nobody noticed and just pretended to die so that Wednesday could change the prophecy of her destroying the school to saving the school. Or maybe she is immune to Nightshade poisoning and only has temporary effects of it and she'll wake up in the morgue in the next episode. Or they could just use Goodies book to resurrect her. She's definitely too good of a character to lose after one season
