  • Clear Land with a Tractor. Hiring a company to clear land has become very expensive and their large equipment damages the ground more than is needed. In this video, we are showing how we are clearing land with our own tools. Depending on how big of a job, clearing land yourself may pay for your equipment. It is not as hard if you have the right equipment! Let me know your thoughts in the comment section.

    We used the T474 by TYM Tractors in this video. What a beast for its size.

    That was fun to watch. I like videos that include tractors and chainsaws because thet is my past time as well. Any tractor seat time is time well spent.

      Chas, Thank you. The stump grinder does a great job for the modest investment. It saves us $200 each stump. People get good money to grind stumps.

      This was Tulip Poplar. When it burns, it makes very little heat, and it leaves big piles of ash. I could burn it in a camp fire, but we have so much of it.

  • @deanbarr5740

    Looks like Poplar. It'll make some very nice lumber. Glad the roll away log didn't break your camera. That Gizmo is a loyal boy even if he does get stressed out. My wife had a Pomeranian several years ago. He'd get stressed out too.

    You gotta hate those vines. They just cling to everything and make pulling out debris more of a mess than it needs to be. Wisteria and Poison ivy.....😝 You must not be allegeric to Poison Ivy, I get into it and I break out like a teenager after eating too much chocolate...lol. Good work Tony! I hope you and Tonja and family have a very Merry Christmas! 🎄🎁✝️

    • @TonysTractorAdventure

      I rarely ever get Poison Ivy. I never get it in the winter. My wife, on the other hand, can walk by and get it. This woods was cut about 17 years ago. It was not cleaned up, and it was cut too thin. This let the vines go wild.

    Why push all the tree access back into the woods is just adding more mess to the edge of the space you are making!!! Why not burn it in a big pile with a permit and scatter the ashes on a root veggie garden!!!Then if there is punky wood use it as fire starter, big logs as fire place wood, etc.

    • @TonysTractorAdventure
      @TonysTractorAdventure  Před 2 lety +1

      I am pushing it into a wash slowing erosion. I have a burn pile and I burn what I need to burn. Tulip Poplar is not worth burning for anything. I have another big wash at the bottom of the hill I am putting it in.

The 200 foot poplar tree had to come down too; Big Big Old Tree. Living off land.
