    I'm glad you don't put stupid dead lines on your builds. Hey we gotta build this complete truck in two & half minutes. Ready get set go....
    You look so much more relaxed. I know running a business is sometimes hard to do. But good job KC.....

    Beautiful truck.. old school mixed perfectly with new school. Reminds me of a 77 f100 I did with my pops back in the day. No offense to them bow tie guys, but we loved showing’em what the taillights looked like. That 77 Granada though.. bought the car from an older lady for 100$ without the engine. Stuffed in a 302 out of a BOSS Mustang along with a bunch of aluminum goodies from an old hwy patrol car. She was the ultimate sleeper..

    Ok KC if I am not mistaken the 67 had a painted grill the aluminum grill like that one was 68 and the 69 had a red strip across from head light to head light the 70 was the ugliest inserts and the 71 and 72 wasn’t much different except for the aluminum filler in the inserts . I had a 68 for my first vehicle and later I got a 72 which ended up as my sons first vehicle and we did a frame off restoration on it had the 428 four bolt main in it which on the breather was shown to be a 360 don’t know why or how that happened. The truck came off a farm in Nacadoches Tx it was a long bed . It wasn’t stock and he loved going to school almost late so when pulled into parking lot at idle he would set off everybody’s car alarms . With 3” exhaust and flow masters it sounded good I could hear him coming three to four blocks away in my house with the AC running . Oh my moms maiden name was Ford we grew up driving Fords you can say there in our blood .

    Great build, personally i liked the wheels it had on it. Those look just like the hubcaps off the 66 XL 500 i had in high school, that i replaced with American racing wheels a week after i got it.

    • @tomswinburn1778
      @tomswinburn1778 Před 6 lety

      My advanced age prevents me from remembering the name of the wheels I loved back in the mid to late 60s. Chrome outer with 5 rounded gray spokes. I never could get my money right to have BOTH the car I wanted and those wheels. Of course I couldn't afford a paint job either, or any of the parts and pieces to beautify my project. And I was never king of the quarter in my town either, but I had fun.

    really nice truck your team built, I had a hard time trying to find a 1972 chrome GMC grill everything else was easy to get here in California plenty of Chevy trucks at that time they are starting to get hard to find even the most ugliest truck people want to buy because they are smog exempt and the parts can be ordered out of the catalog the little two wheel drive blazers go for top dollar because the full top comes off

    I love the look of of this truck. i do have one question tho, and you guys probably already mentioned this somewhere that I may have missed but.. it seems odd that KC's Paint Shop didn't paint a SEMA build. or maybe you guys did paint it and it is showcasing your awesome abilities, idk. i'm also not complaining, as i said before, i love the way it looks just wondering :-)

    • @Photobombin
      @Photobombin Před 6 lety +2

      Once the old logos were removed the truck did have to get some faux patina treatment in a few spots but even I know its there and I don't spot it when i'm looking at it. This project basically is what it seems, the client wanted a simple patina build with a few nice trim pieces and some high hp and thats what the team delivered. Stay tuned for the 57 Bel Air that was painted black to a mirror finish. I didn't have time to do a showcase on it as I am tied up with work (other freelancing) but I will be out at SEMA and plan to showcase it there.

I love old trucks and wish I would of kept some of mine. I had a totally wicked 76 highboy with a true cobra 427 engine matched up to a slx speed with duallys and aluminum bed dressed up. I think it was the nicest F 350 ever and would of bought it new if I could as it would of be cheaper by far.

    • @Photobombin
      @Photobombin Před 6 lety +1

      I think what many people don't understand is that KC's Paintshop builds for clients, not TV shows or imaginary buyers. So with that said when people ask KC why he did this or did that you have to stop and think that the build is what the client wants. KC and crew could sit around all day long building amazing vehicles but without clients bringing money to the build you're basically a starving artist.
