It explains how to determine if the integral is convergent or divergent by expressing the limit as it approaches infinity. The (3x+1)² where did the squared go...I ddnt understand that part plz
@@paulineshiku1890 i know it's 6 months late but he substituted 3x+1 into "u" then raised it to the square afterwards (u^2). He did the integral of the full thing with "u" still in it and then replaced the "u" with 3x+1. So basically the squared just merged with the rest of the fraction

It's a sick joke that this guy can explain stuff quickly and effectively in only 15 minutes, yet the professor I pay for only leaves me more confused. College truly is a scam

@@CriticPunch yep, you cant rewind stuff and don't have as much time in lectures than in youtube videos, so they feel better for a lot of people despite not being significatly better explanations. theyre just good completentary learning materials
lol I only use this guy's video as a pre-class tool that gives me general understanding. Since you gotta learn way more complicated cases in class. And I dont think you should blame on your prof...
And there are lectures on CZcams which go much deeper. Colleges nowadays are indeed scams.

You missed a step. You need to also change your limits of integration if you are using U-substitution.
