- “One dream, one soul...one prize, one goal,” - the apt opening lyrics of Queen’s ‘A Kind of Magic’ and today in Barcelona it was NYYC American Magic that unveiled their third AC75 boat but keeping much mystery and intrigue to themselves. And rightly so, the boat is a beauty - a sculpted form whose almost scow-bow detailing would not look out of place at New York’s Guggenheim Museum setting off a super-powerful hull form with detailing aplenty.

Yeah, the paint job DOES look a bit like S & S. Its a beautiful boat (except for the two legs raised for a piss), but I think I would have liked her even more if she was blue all over.
The paint job is hideous. Looks worse than a school uniform.

@@CraigOverend Actually makes more sense than my my idea. I thought they looked a bit like an ice skates, and they knew something in advance about an epic climate event on the race course. Maybe a few too many eggs in that basket though...

Such a slick paint job/quietly hides a lot of the uniqueness of the hull/ possible water displacement /design mechanics etc..

I do kinda like how smooth the deck shapes look. Not super out there, more "classic", dialed down. But the paint job, in my humble eyes, is doing it a disservice.

I am Italian and I obviously side for LRPP but honestly the lines from this boat seem great. Honestly I think this boat is even prettier than LRPP.

Not possible. The positions of the foil arms are specified in the rule, and they dictate the beam.
It's flatter, which gives the impression of extra beam.
The nose section definitely is - Very T section, for the first several metres.

Nope! No magic left. The mast did not fit. It is the mast from the last campaign…😮, computer error.
Its very flat with no skeg and s very fine bow. I suspect they're hoping for calm seas during the campaign.
It's a Magellanic Penguin, only they got the colours reversed.
Was that mast fitment issue?
Well what can I say, I don't like the livery it looks like something in 70's style. I was expecting a white Ac40 style choice with red stripes. The boat looks like a cocktail, at the stern is ENZ, at the bow is LR and the pods are from Ineos, but we'll see.

For a boat with no crew movements, why the extra windage of stantions and lines, makes no sense.

Nope, lots of lovers here, it seems. Though, I am not one of them. I think it makes the transom/rear look bigger and "heavier" than it is. I do like the more easy going deck lines, though.
This looks like an aircraft carrier. I hope for their sake, it manoeuvres better than one. I actually like the shape of the hull though. Terrible shame about the drab paint job.
