Another fantastic exegesis of the scriptures brother. I came across this passage in my daily Bible reading a couple of days ago and strong conviction followed, leading into thorough self examination and eventually culminating in a dilemma: I can try all I might to convince myself that I would be willing to suffer and perhaps even die for the sake of the gospel but until I'm finally faced with a situation wherein suffering and death for the sake of the gospel are options I'm able to choose then I might have reason to doubt the sincerity of my faith until it's tested. On the other hand, I know for certain that God is faithful and I trust that He would give me grace to choose suffering and death for the sake of the gospel if the situation called for it. I guess that I'm all too aware that I'm living a comfortable life whilst countless others are suffering all around me. I should be willing to leave the comfort of my home and go out into the world to preach the gospel as Jesus has commanded me but I confess that I'm fearful to go out evangelizing by myself. Please pray for God to give me courage and help me overcome the fear of men.

I am with you bro. Yet when i studied the NT churches Paul had started it was he who had done the mission journeys. It was not like half the church dropped what they were doing and followed paul. They were witnesses where they were. I maybe wrong here but launching out of a feeling of guilt is wrong. Being motivated by love and desire should be the right attitude.

Discreetly giving out Gospel tracts in public via leaving it somewhere (but not littering, lol) where people gather is a great way to evangelize if you're shy.

So denying The Gospel in means to survive in thrive. Like a man bowing down to his Boss when he says stop talking about Christ or to not display His Faith?

So does this mean that those celebrities that have sold their soul to the devil in exchange for fame & fortune, cannot go to heaven?

Maria Aceves no one can "sell" their souls but choosing darkness over light is the real issue. We are born into darkness until the gospel has penetrated our heart. No one is closer to hell than another. Either you follow Jesus or follow the devil. No one can have two masters. It's either God or an idol who is no god at all. Therefore, we all once were in darkness and some have repented, others repentance is coming and then others will choose darkness forever therefore forfeiting their soul.
