    When my stock began expanding I bought two super cute cabinets to store them. Problem tho! I live in CA and am terrified an earthquake will demolish my investment! So I settled on keeping those that are partially burned in the cabinets and the remainder are kept in the crates in a closet. I'm on a no buy until Fall now as I have enough for all 4 seasons. TFS!

      Yeah, the idea of an earthquake scares me too with storage lol. Another reason why I prefer them under a bed or low in a closet with a door I can close. I can only imagine the chaos of 100 candles coming down in a rain of glass lol.

    Great idea for the under bed totes. I currently have my candles in a chest of drawers in my master closet and behind clothing on the closet shelves as well as in a night stand in the guest room. Neither of which is ideal. Thanks for sharing.

      Yes, I think this will definitely be the way I do it once I whittle down a bit more. Seems like the safest lol.

    I like the under bed tote idea. I have a couple of those from when my daughter was in university. Currently my candles are stored by season in cardboard boxes in the basement. Not ideal, but it works. I will give your ideas a try. I too am trying to decrease my candle collection.

    I won't even say how many BBW candles I have as too embarrassing - what I do to manage what I do have is number each crate (with Sharpie) and maintain a spreadsheet of crate number and contents. It's nice as can alpha sort to see if have particular candle in collection. I have them in three areas in home - need to downsize. Can hear in voice how happy you are as "hoard" has diminished... need to adhere myself. Great idea on the under the bed bin - thank you!!

    I currently have my BBW candles in the cardboard containers inside a BBW shopping bag! I have no idea how many I have or what I have for that matter! 🤦🏼‍♀️ That’s part of my next organizing project. I like the under bed storage container idea. Now I just need to see what is already under my bed! 🤔

    Your HW favorites are mine, as well...same with NEST. Also, the bin under the bed is exactly what I need! What a great idea. I have an entire closet with candles stacked on top of each other. It is a hooootttttt mess. One half of the closet is for fall/winter, the other for spring/summer. I really want to burn as much spring/summer this year as possible because tbh, I have too many and I just am not a summer burner at all. It's too darn hot. This was super helpful and I'm off to buy some bins. I don't have an IKEA, so Target will do.

    • @MrKongsMom
      @MrKongsMom  Před 3 lety

      Under the bed is pretty genius I think lol. They are out of the way, you can hide with a dust ruffle and you can easily pull out and see what you have. Target will certainly have what you need

    For your BBW crates and candles. Have you thought about maybe sorting them by season? Then label them and you could rotate the crates by season. Just a thought. 🙂 Thank you for the video.

      @Vilfredo Pareto she likes what she likes and there’s nothing wrong with that! Plus I love that she shares her knowledge and experiences with us.

    • @MrKongsMom
      @MrKongsMom  Před 3 lety

      Nope, I don't sell them. I do gift them to family and friends whenever they want or need some.

    • @MrKongsMom
      @MrKongsMom  Před 3 lety +1

      Technically they are sort of separated by season. The BBW are all spring summer on the left hand side, Fall in the middle crates and what is left of "holiday" is on the far right (all BBW). The Homeworx is a little more mixed but also somewhat grouped. I think once I have a smaller size stash, it's going to be much easier! Cannot wait for that! I just unloaded about 15 candles on my brothers fiance this past weekend lol. I just walked in with 2 big boxes and said here ya go lol. If you don't like, regift haha!

    Thank you for sharing. Being that you are on CZcams and a lover of fragrance I’m curious why you don’t display some (like rotation candles) in a glass door cabinet or a book shelf in your filming room. For all my wax I hv an entry/sofa table in my spare room that has 4 drawers and a shelf underneath. I hv a pretty metal spice rack that holds ab 20 wax-melt bars that I use for the month on top with a warmer. Baskets displayed on the bottom shelf that’s close to the floor.

      I just don't like the look of that. Just a personal preference thing I guess. I like for things to be "put away' if that makes sense. It's part of the reason that I am looking forward to shrinking my stash a bit more. It will be easier to make things look tidy and I won't have as much to dust or rummage through.

    I don’t know if anyone’s said this but I label the lids by writing on tape or putting a post it note for the ones that are only 1 level high.So there’s no need to move them .
