What’s crazy is the sheer amount of knowledge Hikaru has of the game. He has undoubtedly played against the grob far fewer times than Duck has played the Grob. Yet, Hikaru knows the entire position better. He knows the weakness of every move and can see straight through to the end game. Duck has studied and managed the grob for decades yet Hikaru can understand and know the position better in just 1 game. Crazy

I think ultimately Duck sacking his knight (9:14) had to do with his bishop on D2 having no real future after Hikaru moved his knight to C6. There were no progressive squares for it.

I so glad that GM Hikaru was so available and pleasant-natured. He's a fine ambassador for chess.
