Exaggerated same as school violence in movies. Like look at bulling scenes. In my country we know nothing about school violence. We had no bullies at my school since group of them stole pencil case of one kid and he just headbutted random of them instead of trying to chase case.
American shows always exaggerate stuff about other countries for comedic effect. Me being from Canada we're still called overly apologetic light weights.
I'd like to call her the "Settled Femme Fatale" trope because well she has a lot of secrets and could probably kill you but won't cuz of the whole new life, new me thing she got going on for herself and her family.

I didn’t have older siblings so she was the closest persin to teach me some street smarts. It’s always fun to watch this ep when a bunch of my family so we can all side-eye at that cousin, who like Gloria, once she settled down and got married is now less of a hooligan but still a bad ass cousin who is definitely the person to call at 2am when you need to bury a body.
