  • Me mind on fire me soul on fire feeling hot hot hot!! Hope everyone is having a wonderful summer. I have done a lot of beach songs from the US (including a Hawaiian Christmas song) but I have never performed a song from the world’s Island spots. Today we are heading into the Caribbean island of Montserrat, which is still under British rule. I will be singing “HoT Hot Hot” by Aphonsus “Arrow” Cassell which was released in 1982. During his lifetime, Arrow fused traditional Calypso/Soca music with other genres including R & B, salsa, rock, and Zouk. This brought the world of calypso to a whole new generation. “Hot Hot Hot” was part of a new wave of Tropical music that dominated the 80’s . The song would later be covered by artists like Buster Poindexter in 1987 and Samuel R. Wright (as Sebastian in the 1990 album Sebastian from the Little Mermaid). Dedicating this to the princess party companies around the world including Happy Princess Parties in Florida . They will be hosting a zoom Caribbean music session with a certain Arabian princess . Check out their site for more info. I do not own the rights to the song and music. This is for fun purposes only.
