Time for part 3! Ngl, I first watched this back when the first half was airing and I had a hard time adjusting to it. It's just so different from p2, the pacing is much slower and the difference between Joseph and Jotaro as mc is like night and day. So I went to read the entire manga and it was great :D I think p3 is much more enjoyable to binge than watching weekly, and I like the setting and characters. Jotaro also grew on me with time :P so there are a lot of fun adventures coming up in SC!
I read about how part 3 was too long and dragged out, but I never really felt that tbh when I was watching it. Yes, it’s a monster of the week kind of deal, but I think it does it really well. A lot of the times the group isn’t just using their Stands to bruteforce problems because they’re frankly pretty one dimensional abilities aside from maybe Kakyoin. Instead, you see them use their surroundings and wits to outsmart their enemies which I thought was refreshing for a genre that would become dull after the first few fights. Also, it’s the funniest part

I don't even mind the monster of the week format! But on my first watch having to wait a week between the episodes in the first cour almost killed my interest, especially since it was before I read the manga and didn't have moments I anticipated. It just had such a different pace from the first season, haha.

Jojo's Bizzare Adventure manga first arrived at 1987 with Part 1: Phantom Blood. In March of 1989, first chapter of Part 3: Stardust Crusaders aired, introducing "Stands". Guess how many series took the idea of stands further to make their own power systems.
It should be noted that Jotaro never calls his mother a "bitch" in the Japanese original. He calls her "kono baba", which I guess would roughly translate to "You old woman/bag". But of course "bitch" just sounds better to the english ear. Or reads better, I reckon.
So Contrary to popular opinion i perfer Part 3 over part 4 (part 5 is still my personal favorite though), and its mainly cause, unlike alot of people who see it as a grind, which, the anime certainly is as it adds so much filler in certain episodes (there are no filler episodes, just unnecessary padding in episodes that weren't there in the manga), but IMO, i see it as an episodic adventure that you really need to look at as an adventure of expierences instead of just going from Point A to Point B. I love part 3, Jotaro is my favorite, and will always be one of my favorite JoJos.

To clear up some confusion most stands are only visible to stand users but some can be seen by non stand users like stands bound to an object which you'll see soon also the reason stands can interact with physical objects despite what was stated in the episode is because stands are able to change how tangible they are as they can phase through things but also become solid to attack or defend the description in the show is a bit difficult to understand probably because of translation
it turns out stands are probably from the same power as hamon. in the jp manga stand is written with the kanji that would normally be read as "yuuhamon". the hamon part is the same as the power from earlier in the series. the yuu part is a kanji meaning something along the lines of disembodied here. that yuu kanji is also the first kanji for the word ghost.

There is also most likely a bottom hatch, which is how he could have escaped without Erina noticing his presence. Josephs stand is never really clearly defined in part 3 but the best way to explain it is like Clairvoyance, he can use the stand to find out information he otherwise wouldnt have known, its like an all-seeing Oracle and explains his ability in part 2 of going "your next line is..."
One of the more popular fan theories for why Jotaro is a complete jackass, especially to his mother, is that he's most likely lashing out against those around him. The fan theory roughly goes like this: Jotaro had to deal with a lot of bullying in the past for a couple of reasons. Firstly his height. Even by Western standards Jotaro is freakishly tall and kids will always pick on others with abnormalities and I mean being 6'4" at 17 in Japan is pretty abnormal. Secondly, racism. (A big difference in severity i know). People forget that he's mixed race in a country where nearly everyone is the same race and Japan isn't exactly the most tolerant place on the planet, especially in the 80s. This is all in spite of the fact that Jotaro considers himself Japanese first and foremost. There is also the fact that he has an absent father (we don't even know what he looks like) which is never a good thing. Jotaro probably just snapped one day after getting bullied one too many times and pinned all the blame for his bullying on his mother since the reasons for the bullying comes from her side of the family and she was an easy target.

Okay so stands are physical manifestations of your fighting spirit and all have weirdly specific special and/or situational abilities! Only stand users can see other stands (except for when they don't), only stands can harm other stands (except for when they don't), and all damage done to a stand will reflect the user (except for when they don't)!

You said Joseph's stand isn't that impressive like Jotaro's or Avdol's, but he was "destinated" to have it since Battle Tendency. Remember the "Your next line will be..." thing? If the characters of these season were to travel to the past, they would see Young Man Joseph using his stand while doing that.
Jotaro has always been the nice guy he just feels that needs to show that he is strong, my guess why he became like that because his dad is barely there so he had to have this upfront to show that he isn't weak, his mom knows that, Jotato barely shows emotion or at least expresses himself little because he thinks people understand it just like his mom and any more extra is a waste of time that's why he is kind of an asshole from the outside view.

Some of the character designs, characters and poses of Street Fighter were inspired by Jojo. Both Jojo and Street Fighter were released around the same time and have no connection story wise. I heard somewhere that the creator of Street Fighter and Araki were friends

Don't worry about that thing of breathing being important to Stands. They forget about it inmediately
But when someone passes out, their stand fades. So it’s not directly linked to breathing, but it helps maintaining it regardless since breathing steadily is important for your health I guess

Josephs stand is never really clearly defined in part 3 but the best way to explain it is like Clairvoyance, he can use the stand to find out information he otherwise wouldnt have known, its like an all-seeing Oracle and explains his ability in part 2 of going "your next line is..."

One of the more popular fan theories for why Jotaro is a complete jackass, especially to his mother, is that he's most likely lashing out against those around him. The fan theory roughly goes like this: Jotaro had to deal with a lot of bullying in the past for a couple of reasons. Firstly his height. Even by Western standards Jotaro is freakishly tall and kids will always pick on others with abnormalities and I mean being 6'4" at 17 in Japan is pretty abnormal.
Secondly, racism. (A big difference in severity i know). People forget that he's mixed race in a country where nearly everyone is the same race and Japan isn't exactly the most tolerant place on the planet, especially in the 80s. This is all in spite of the fact that Jotaro considers himself Japanese first and foremost. There is also the fact that he has an absent father (we don't even know what he looks like) which is never a good thing. Jotaro probably just snapped one day after getting bullied one too many times and pinned all the blame for his bullying on his mother since the reasons for the bullying comes from her side of the family and she was an easy target.
I think this theory is way too overdramatic in response for a oversensitive reaction like "jackass"? Really?

Okay so stands are physical manifestations of your fighting spirit and all have weirdly specific special and/or situational abilities! Only stand users can see other stands (except for when they don't), only stands can harm other stands (except for when they don't), and all damage done to a stand will reflect the user (except for when they don't)!

You said Joseph's stand isn't that impressive like Jotaro's or Avdol's, but he was "destinated" to have it since Battle Tendency. Remember the "Your next line will be..." thing? If the characters of these season were to travel to the past, they would see Young Man Joseph using his stand while doing that.
Jotaro has always been the nice guy
he just feels that needs to show that he is strong, my guess why he became like that because his dad is barely there so he had to have this upfront to show that he isn't weak,
his mom knows that, Jotato barely shows emotion or at least expresses himself little because he thinks people understand it just like his mom
and any more extra is a waste of time that's why he is kind of an asshole from the outside view.
