I worked in a well known camera shop from 2000-2004 and served this gentleman often.How he managed to load his brand new Mamiya 7 BACKWARDS and trash the entire film transfer mechanism will forever elude me.The hilarity that was met with by both myself and my colleague (and not to mention the techs at Mamiya themselves) was beyond belief when they refused to replace his camera under warranty and the repair bill at the time came to around 75% of the body.If I remember they wanted around £800+VAT to fix it.Oh,and he was the biggest pain in the arse customer we ever had.
Haha, I don't think he was a technical photographer like so many. His early work was all cheap film, cheap camera. The value was in the subject, not the quality.
