0-60 times for BMW 535xi wagon (E61)

- I own two BMW E61s. One is the project, and another is stock, zero modifications (even the same color) car. I thought it would be interesting to see how fast (or slow) is stock, non-modified BMW E61 535 wagon is.

Wow, those motors last. 6 seconds is what I was getting with '07 RDX that had intake and sticky tires. For the time period that was more than acceptable. They say I can get 4.3 second 0-60 time in the Porsche with tune, 93 octane and intake filers from Flat6Motorsports. We shall see, definitely going to change the spark plugs first.
I forgot to mention that this wagon has new spark plugs, new coils, and new fuel injectors. Will do another run with 19” wheels and mention that.
Man, 4.3 would be great for an SUV. This is amazing what turbocharged cars are capable of :)
@@EliteBimmers Watching you over the last couple of years I assumed that you had removed and replaced the spark on the wagon. Not a cheap maintenance item, I bought a set of coils and plugs for my E61 but sold them on eBay before I traded it off on the Cadillac wagon. So far I have spent $7.300 on the Porsche and have nothing to show for it. Everything is on backorder... Cobb tuner and Niche "convivence" upgrade are on the way so at least I will be able to tinker without getting my hands dirty soon. Want to bring it up to you for test drive after the upgrades. Would make a good comparison video for the X-5 (although I think the X-5 will spank the Macan on the street :)
On my project (main) car, yes, but this is the one I got a few months ago. It was running rough, and oh yeah it was not cheap lol.

@@EliteBimmers The weight of the Macan is the biggest problem. I was shocked that the brakes started to fade so dramatically after just a couple of hard slow downs. I almost rear ended another car two months ago as I expected to slow much faster. I never had brake fade with my 911. If I didn't need room for a car seat, bicycle, diaper bag, etc. I would be driving a two seater (or as my father once said, "I want a ONE SEATER so your mother can't come.")

Good video and great car! Much similar to mine (same colour, but 530xd) are you planning to swap the brakes for the 535i 348mm ones? For the front it's plug and play (calipers, discs and pads) for the rear not fully sure (i upgraded only fronts and it's a nice cheap upgrade)
Hello! Thank you for your comment. Yes, I plan to modify my brakes. I have several ideas but haven’t decided yet exactly where I’m at with brakes mods.

Hello, I sold it two years ago. But I keeping in touch with the current owner. So far so good! According to him, it’s still on the original air springs. He also has it on stage I MHD, with no issues. And has a lot more miles than when I had it.
Does he have a Chanel?
