    J'admire cette reine si simple et pleine de compassion.
    Ce qui est remarquable chez cette belle personne, c'est qu'elle affiche un sourire permanent... Très solaire !!! Vraiment une reine magnifique....

    Queen Margrethe II looks like everyone's favorite grandmother. She's an incredibly beautiful woman; what a lovely and radiant smile. No wonder the Danes love her. Her affection for her husband, children & grandchildren is genuine...so putting on an act here.

    I love 3;13 when HM King Constantine II of the Hellenes seemingly "babysits" the Danish royal boys.

    Queen Margrethe's Grandmother was Princess Margaret of Connaught (nicknamed Daisy)she was the Gd-daughter of Queen Victoria.Which is why the Royal Families of Europe call her Daisy.

    I like how Princess Mary says acknowledges the gentleman to her right as she walks by. She obviously wasn't born a royal, who are trained to ignore the 'help'.

    Of all the European Queens, Elizabeth, Margreth and Beatrice have the command. They are really be seen as the pillar of their countries.

    @mikkim11 However this jubilee celebration was intended only for Scandinavian Royals/Presidents,we ll have to wait for the Golden Jubilee for a big bunch of royal guests i think.

    I also wonder why some younger member of the Brit royal family wasn't in attendance. Prince Edward perhaps. Maybe they weren't invited? Would love to see more of the church service as well.

    A lot of empty sets in the church, surely they could have filled them up.

    @mikkim11 She does show up at events hosted by foreign royals in the UK like the wedding of Crown Prince Pavlos of Greece or birthday party of Crown Prince of Yugoslavia in 1995. In the old days Queen Mother or Prince Charles represented the Queen on important occasions but now it s mostly the Wessexs which is rather odd as they r the most junior iwithin the Queens immediate family. it s too bad the Queen herself doesnt attend,sending her youngest son is almost a bit rude.

    ... well .. they are the ones that don't let anyone forget of whom they descend from ... ins't that the essence of Monarchy ... heritage just by birth??

  • @dimacosi
    @dimacosi Před 12 lety +2

    @mikkim11 I guess she finds her everyday tasks too important to be disturbed by such mondain events. This was true of most reigning British sovereigns with the exception of Queen Victoria and Edward VII. If I am not wrong the last time George V went abroad for a royal wedding was in 1913. The only time EIIR attended a funeral of a brother Sovereign was that of King Baudouin in 1993.

    Yes I also as a Brit agree with you, but you must understand that Queen Elizabeth was brought up ina time where things were done, end of story

    I think she is actually way too busy after all her common wealth is bigger and therefore she has more events to do with her common wealth. She also the oldest too and from I understand has cut back from doing long travels and travels to places that concern her commonwealth and will be cutting down on that too as Prince Phillip (longest consort serving) and he is 90 and if I am accurate most of the other monarchs are in her succession line, I know both Frederick and Queen of Denmark are.

  • @mikkim11
    @mikkim11 Před 12 lety +3

    @jorgemir27 I have always wondered the same, because Kings and Queens from other countries attend to British events but not Lizzy II maybe she's just way too stuck-up and egotistical.

    I wonder why the Queen and her close family have to sit in that small enclosure all secluded from her other subjects. It seems a bit discriminating to me.

    Reply to Brits ans Royals, I for 1 Brit think the way our Royals act is way out of date, and they are loosing respect, from the people who keep them there. As for Catherine having to curtsey to other minor royals leaves me speak less, I have been watching CP Mary and CP Fredeick, giving the press a chance to take photos and to ask questions, when they left hospital with the twins, Our Queen would never do that, or Charles. I am fed up with this house of Windsor. they are no different to any
