- A compilation of some of my game hunts and arcade visits from 2020. We went all around Tokyo and Saitama last year to visit games shops, pick up a ton of retro games, have some fun in Sega and Capcom game centers, and do some exploring. Good times indeed.

#Tokyo #Japan #RetroGaming - Hry
Thanks for watching, everyone! There's a state of emergency in effect in Tokyo right now so I wasn't able to go out and do some filming like I wanted to, so I figured I may as well throw together a compilation of some of my gaming adventures from 2020. Hope you enjoy it. Thanks again!
What's up man between you Radical Reggie y'all keep me up on them import Gems. Do you ever come across All Japan Pro Wrestling 2:3,4 on the Super Famicom, That game is awesome. Fire pro wrestling ( six man scramble) on the Saturn. Had that game since late 90s. Another awesome game. Great video.
You are living in Video game bliss, if you found a dirty copy of Hagane or any other hard to find Super Famicom game. I would not be mad. Everything can be cleaned and restored. If you found the dirtiest copy of that Power Ranger Carranger game on that sufami turbo, I would not turn that down. Those dirty games got character and a story. I would be grateful gamer for whatever you could find. Something is better than nothing.
What's the song at 24:12?
@@RoussDogg That is a remix of Last Surprise from the Persona 5 soundtrack.
Here's hoping that the state of emergency doesn't last too long. I was wondering if yo could snag a copy of Ninpu Sentai Hurricaneger as well as Hyakujuu Sentai Gaoranger for the PS1 and some of the Kamen Rider Climax Heroes games for the PSP along with the Saturn versions of the Street Fighter Zero games and Marvel Vs. Capcom when the lockdown is lifted. Stay safe there Jim.
Perfect timing! Some Game Hunting entertainment while having dinner!
I 2nd that Adam. I'm having Chinese take-out seeing this. 8^)
Anthony..
Love that Tengai Makyo 2 CM 😍 Thanks, that’s my first console RPG, what a game with Joe Hisaishi’s music, amazing !
Fun video, I really like the track you played at the first break 16:19. Thanks KidShoryuken! I hope to be able to visit Japan at some point even if it is just for game hunting :-)
Thanks bud. That's a remix of one of the stage themes from Sonic R, great soundtrack on that game.
UN squadron, almost forgot that game but had flashbacks after seeing the footage on your video to the local acades where I grew up having it, nice!
Watched this while working on the next video, hit the spot 🤙Thanks Jim for all the great memories from 2020.
I just love watching thoses videos. Thanks for making me dream again. I'd love to come back to Akiba someday, hope not too much stores will get out of business, and that the world will get better in mid 2021. Wish you all the best!
Very nice video! Love the chill music as usual!
Awesome collection videos hope we all have a better year this year
You and me both. Thanks for watching!
Just in time Jim. I came in after a tough day, and really need to unwind seeing this bro. 8^)
Anthony..
Happy to help. Thanks for watching, Anthony.
yes i had ordered the valis famicom and akira famicom years ago on ebay
I miss japan thanks for video
Damn that Act Raiser box art is amazing 👍
Nice game hunting!
Twin Cobra is the english name for the western kyouku tiger (or whatever is called..lol)
I was gonna bring that up😂 it’s my go to arcade game back in the day 😄
I know you said you haven't put your hands on a Vita yet, but I would love to see you browse the Vita games at some point. Love that system and Japan has all the good stuff! Maybe it'll help you make up your mind about getting one at some point :-)
Actually, I've recently been picking up Vita games for some of my patrons and they look pretty damn cool, so I might pick one up soon.
Tkyosam told me about this channel it's cool.
Always a pleasure Jim. 8^)
Anthony..
@KidShoryuken, have you ever thought about expanding into Snacks that are exclusive to only Japan from 7/11 stores?
"This video would be an hour long" - checks time :D
Awesome stuff, l bet some years in the future videos like these will be the only glimpse at how the market was over there.
Always wondered though how does book/hard off turn a profit selling so many games at these prices , especially those that go for less than 500 yen .
They pay almost nothing for them I suspect. I've never traded anything in there, but they're "recycle shops" so I'm guessing you just go there and dump a bunch of stuff you don't want anymore and don't really care what you get for them.
Catherine music is always nice
It is indeed.
The progress bar has more yellow than grey
Lmao
gunstar heroes is my favorite
6:20 Holy shit, I never knew Jojo is this old...
in the first part it's raining, and for hard off it's very hot. are those two part shot at different time of the year ? so weird this 30 000 yens Dreamcast xD got the same for 4000 last year !
I didn't remember SNES to be that big
Where do you bought this awesome Snatcher Shirt? :p
59:53 please tell me the name of this cool BGM track at the Capcom Cafe :)
shocking the switch games are more expensive than retail
New Sub, thanks to TokyoJoe 👋🙌💯
One question I line to ask buddy, in these retro game stores. Are the games second hand? Or surplus extra copies that are still factory sealed?
For example, how hard is it to procure a pristine Neo Geo AES console?
All preowned/ second hand
@@hanstherunningman3523 thanks for the response. So which stores are the best for finding gems in near pristine condition or even buying brand new or is that non existent?
Could you by any chance make a video of Japanese ps vita games that you can play in English or do you happen to know anywhere were I can find this info thanks + love the vids
I'll be honest, I know NOTHING at all about the Vita, but this channel seems like a good source of info. czcams.com/video/D65Pg0LiBWI/video.html
@@MadPanicGaming thank you for the info!!
What's the song at 28:52? Thanks
River City Hockey?
Yep, great game.
Na. Look through the ds and other stuff.
I rarely see japan youtubers cover anything else other then very old retro.
Expensive prices even in japan.
Indeed. Anime based games probably worse due to licensing. Lot of their games are pricey, but its rather nice that they have soooo much games preserved tho. Hard to find in the states in my opinion, not much game places, unless order online.
JPN people pay probably a higher price compared to americans, americans at least get to be cheap about it.
tracklist por favor?
Where is this place located?
*which* place?
I gave this video a thumbs up but kinda sick of his inconsistent videos. Sometimes he will give us gameplay then in other videos just nothing which is why I haven't subscribed but deserves a thumbs up for the work he put in. Then he gives Japan prices like no Americans watch his channel. Again sometimes he will then I guess he gets American & just says screw it & support my channel any way but I watch to get prices, to know prices. Again he doesn't have to on every game give a price but if you give some prices we can find out or guess other prices. I more so come for the gameplay with videos he picked for he does give American translated prices but dang like I stopped watching other channel for no other channel gives gameplay to games as they pick games but sometimes he will & sometimes he won't. Small rant but still a great channel.
Why couldn’t I be you? I just can’t seem to understand.
What's the song at 24:12 ?
It's a remix of Last Surprise from the Persona 5 soundtrack.
@@MadPanicGaming Thanks, I like much of your song choices. You should put the track listings in the description or make some playlist videos.
Can you tell me where I can find the music that starts at 1:02:30? Some pretty groovy tunes!
czcams.com/video/soB89g3XY7s/video.html
@@MadPanicGaming Awesome! Thank you very much!
AHAH You think that was alot for Tron Bonne ? Look up US prices lol it's like 400$.
New games please for ps4.
