I had a pre-reg Consul Cortina but only the 1200cc with long gear lever.

Great video but I'll have to put on my anorak and point out the Cortina was released in 1962 not 1966 and the Mk1 GT was fitted with a weber DCD carburetter, the 32 DFM was fitted to the MK2 Cortina GT and 1600E

My late father owned 12 Cortina mark ones and 5 were Cortina GTs,beautiful cars,hope I can get one some day
