    Remember, all of the trials you are given can be overcome. The lord will not give us a trial that he knows we cannot overcome. Just like Nephi said while trying to obtain the plates of brass, I will go and I will do the things the lord commands, and i know the lord provides a way. If you have any trial remember what Alma the younger practiced while suffering his sins. He was racked with complete pain and horror of his sins until he remembered his father preaching of a Jesus Christ. He then called upon his m asking the lord for mercy and repentance and he said he felt the love of the lord and he no longer suffered for those sins

    O holy Father Grant me the strength to repent that I may reached the gates of paradise that my name may be found in the book of life and that my soul may be lifted up at the last day that I may not die in that graet lake of fire where their worms never die and the flames never end

  • @latter-daysaintbatman2679

    Repentance isn't just a one time thing. You aren't saved once. God doesn't abandon you. He is with you every step of the way. That is how repentance is a process. Rely on the Lord Jesus Christ and His Atonement.
    I testify the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the true Church restored upon this earth. I testify that Dallin H. Oaks is absolute on the truths of God. I testify sin and evil will be destroyed if we allow God to prevail. I testify that marriage and love is between a man and a woman. Love is also not lust and is shared between God and man, between families and friends. I testify Joseph Smith was a true prophet of the Restoration and that God and Jesus appeared before him to restore the lost truths. I testify that I have received personal revelation on many things, blessings included that I have received and have yet to receive. I testify all these absolute objective truths in the name of Jesus Christ, amen.

    So if I change my ways, then what has Jesus done to help me change? Doesn't he do the changing? And how? What are the different roles of He and I?

      Jesus gives us the strength, and HIS sacrafice is the reason GOD is even willing to help us out. JESUS suffered the infirmities HE did so HE could know what you suffer through and HE would know what to do for you. HE is beside you as you repent, and if you are willing to turn to HIM totally, HE will work you through this infirmity. As you stand strong in the face of adversity, one day the temptation itself will be a thing of the past.

    This church teaches that in order to reach the highest Kingdom in their heaven, you must work towards it. Work meaning keeping strict adherence to gospel laws and ordinances.. if you "sin" you must repent and then keep working again... and then when you "sin" again... you repent again... and it just repeats and repeats and repeats... But you never actually feel like your forgiven... Because your past sins continue to burden you. You'll never reach Christ this way.

    Can you do just about everything wrong and then really try and repent and be forgiven?

    • @clownprince5064
      @clownprince5064 Před 4 lety +1

      of course! God is a just God, and He forgives as long as you really try. once He forgives you, the sin is gone and He forgets about it completely.
