thanks, glad it was helpful! I am quite busy at the moment, but I really want to try and get some tutorials up on the respiratory system, in particular structures of the larynx as I've been getting a few requests for these - stay tuned and I'll do my best to get these up! :)
You are soooooo AMAZING. Going to share your video with my study group tomorrow. Thank you for helping us with all our homework!!!
I've watched like 10+ videos from you, and I loved each and every one of them! SO glad I found your channel! Thank you sir for your help! Muscles can be a bit overwhelming at times, but you make it easier! Keep up the good work! :)
r u a doctor now
tons of thanks to ur videos they helped me more than my teachers .. really ..
I love your videos. Very helpful. Thank you.
oh and please include innervations next time. you did this in your lower limb tutorial and it was such a huge help
This is good, but it would be great if you could have them labeled or put what you're talking about on the bottom.
Mouth noodle give you taste, now you know all
Great video! Thanks!!!
I've watched all your videos and they are very helpful except you don't have anything about the extrinsic laryngeal muscles that elevate and lower the larynx..
Very informative videos! Maraming salamat for your wonderful work! :')
Thank you for your efforts 🧡🧡🧡
really good, but if you could briefly go through innervation and maybe blood supply between each section it would be the ultimate revision tool! excellent vid though! :)
Very clear, THANK YOU!
Great video !! I need your help someone held me in a choke hold and I believe that there are fractures of the larynx or hyoid bone. I'm not sure what are ways I can identify my hypothesis.
Thanks dr for the great video ❤❤
i simply love ur method of teaching....anatomy has always been mental torture for me n your videos really helped me alot..sincere thanx to u....can u please upload videos of muscles of soft palate and pharynx....??
Sir please tell me the name of app u used for 3d view of body anatomy
Hi I'm just wondering, do you think maybe the glossopharyngeal part of the superior pharyngeal constrictor does the tongue retraction, rather than the styloglossus?
Thank You So Much for making this video! It made the origin and insertion make more sense.
Very Informative Thanx! "Genio" is latin and means "knee" not chin.
That's genu-knee
watching because i have cartilage inflammations all around my neck including the sides of my hyoid bone because of a phrenic nerve damage
Thanks for the video on the tongue muscles. I'm researching the complications on the tongue muscles after removal of the lower wisdom tooth. It's been 2 years that my wisdom tooth is removed and my tongue situation is getting worse day by day, with every movement of my tongue, my tongue is bitten by the very back molars, so after 2 years I have a ulcer at the back of my tongue due to 24/7 trauma and my pain in unbearable. I have been to so many dentists with no results. But now with all the self studies that I'm doing I think that the dentist that removed my wisdom tooth might have damaged the hyogolossus and palatogolossus muscle of my tongue, also I lost a lot of bone during the surgery due to lots of damage that was done to my jaw bone. Is it common that these muscles get damaged during the removal of an erupted wisdom tooth? What specialists should I see to confirm the damage of these muscles? What type of exams do they have to do to confirm it?
Look up orthotropics!
Please answer me do you find the the type of exam confirms the damage of muscle?
nice >>>thank youverymuch >> jzaka alaho hayran :)
Thank you°!!
Really clear and helpful information. Thanks very much. Do you have any more, such as Larynx anatomy, cranial nerve anatomy etc
2:39 I think you meant to say GENIOGLOSSUS
what an amazing explanation!!!:) 1 question what is the main function of the hyoid??
Coz it is hanging bone ithink it is attchment center of qll the muscles nd movable tooo... May be
Creat vocals?
its good performence
I believe you misspoke at 2:39? Should be Genioglossus not geniohyoid

Danielle Kernan👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
nice video but incomplete without intrinsic muscles!!
Thank u 🙏🙂
T hank you for this really good learning material. Very useful for self studying. :)
finally I know how the tongue is able to ''push it self ouside the moth'' when in reality all muscles pull....
in 2:43, You said geniohyoid originate from the superior mental of mandible but you meant the genioglossus, are not you?
sure he did , the similarity in the names of the two muscles geniohyoid and genioglossus pretty much explains the mistake.
Just thought the same thing and am glad someone else noticed! Almost got me confused.
I was about to post the same thing!!
Thanks man
Interesting video!
To anyone who knows the tongue and jaw muscles, I have a question.
I am a middle aged male singer:
I have a muscle that clearly attaches to the hyoid & obviously above/center of the Adam's apple. The muscle in particular isn't hurting, but I have a small knot at the base of the hyoid. The muscle does not hurt and I call it a muscle as I can make it softer or harder by lowering my tongue.
Is it possible to tear these muscles and cause this knot I feel at the hyoid?
It move freely to the left or right with 1cm of it's origin.
Many thanks to anyone who has seen or can confirm this for me. It worries me to some extent, thank you!
Aint1S I don't have the answers to your question other than it could be a strain, tear from singing, not sure. I would suggest seeing a 'master' cranial sacral therapist. They would have more answers for you and it is great therapy, imho.
Which way does the hyoid move, if the tongue moves to the right/left?
You could use Netter diagrams (there is an online version), not only from Gray's Anatomy for the muscles that this 3D model doesn't show, for exemple palatoglossus muscle :)
What software have u used for this?
3D anatomy
super
What software is this?
2:39 I think you said 'geniohyoid' instead of 'genioglossus'! Absolutely amazing 3D representation!
App please?
Is it normal that i can feel my hyoid bone. Its also visible above adams apple. I have no pain what so ever.
I don’t think so..... it’s it hard or soft
i need this app please :( .. thank you :)
check the description
would like to know what glossus stands for..
Pretty sure it means tongue :)
γλωσσα (ğlosa) means tongue in Greek, so... ♥
Genioglossus not geniohyoid
Your tongue is your horse if you protect it he will protect you and if you insult it it will insult u
Is that a dog I can hear in the background?
Tongue is a strong muscular organ. Mention the blood supply of the tongue.
