Volkswagen Golf GTI Mk8 lairy laps

The Mk7.5 Golf GTI felt a bit sensible after the brilliant, stripped-back Mk7 Clubsport S - looks like the Mk8 Golf GTI could bring come Clubsport attitude to the base model. Seen here on the Ehra-Lessien test track, where they did the Veyron top-speed runs and I tested the Polo WRC with Andreas Mikkelsen

Any info on spec? Be great to know if it was DCC or not, what tyres and which mode he was in. I assume VAQ diff standard now that the base model is less base than before, is that right? I've never seen a Clubsport S drift like that, very hard to unstick that rear end as so little weight in it.

I don't know, but suspect DCC and Michelin Cup 2 tyres (now optional), have asked for clarity on story I'm writing. VAQ is standard. Driver Benjamin Leuchter is fastest in ESC Sport, not off. He will be in Sport for laps, but dampers might be softer for drifty pics, to induce roll. Clubsport S will drift :)

Big drift also looks downhill, off-camber, so lends itself to a slide

Can ESC come off fully then as CSS was the only 7 GTI to allow that?
