In this video we install our slide outs, show how we insulated our bus, and painting our bus. This video takes you from where pt 1. finished to for the most part our bus completed
This build is the first school bus, repurpose I've seen and liked. They usually get cut up and put in produce fields! Great job Young Sir. I hope this brings you more enthusiasts needing help with their similar builds. Best wishes.
By the way, I was rolling over the idea in my mind about doing a slide out on a larger shuttle bus, not even knowing how you'd even make one. Aha, gutting an existing one, of course! Another video a guy welded steel beams and boy it all looked heavy. Yours looks properly fitted. But still too much work for my abilities and lack of facilities. But that looks really beautifully done.
I love how you thoroughly insulated the entire bus and sealed it well. Very thorough work! I didn't do research prior to building and insulating my bus. But the entire build has been a learning experience for me, as I did it on my own............as I was rushing to get part of the business open and running, so that I could make the money that I spent back.........as well as pay my bills! I sure do miss all the men I once knew that I could run to when concerning my vision and the direction I wanted to go with things. Although I did meet a few men with various crafts that were essential to me learning and knowing all that I need to know about my bus, I still wish I had those ole skool minds and the energy that came with our relationships. Love the way you insulted your bus, as well as the extended piece that you added! You made everything look so easy! I am so glad that I watched this!
Well done young man!! I am not an RVer but I know how much love and work is going into this. You get me motivated to finish projects around the house, Baseboards it is for me!!
Pimp My Ride Homesteaders Edition! LOL!This is so amazing! Your skills and creativity as well as your work ethic have all come together to make this! Kudos to you!Thank you for sharing your process it is inspiring!
Holy Crap. I was excited about making a sandwich earlier today, this project of yours is absolutely amazing. Thank you for sharing your journey. I found this channel 2 hours ago and so far love your content.
Wow, who would think to put a slide out in a Skoolie? Very cool, it sure makes the living space much larger. Great job, it looks amazing inside and out!
Wow!!!! I'm impressed, and you are not finished yet with the basics. Can't wait to see the finished product. Your family is Blessed for having so much talent. Good job!!!
Oh, Wow, this was Over The Top Amazing. This is one of my dreams was to turn a bus into a RV. With pull out sides . This crazy’s. Wow. I’m loving this .
My God You Are Talented! Thank you to you and family for posting, very creative and I can't wait to see future videos to see if things worked out for you all. Amazing.
OMG! You'd never know that it started out as a school bus. I'd live in that in a heartbeat! I'm so picky that I'm using my Expedition until I find something. Congrats on such a professional build!!!
I had been wondering for years why I've never seen a bus with a slide out... I had even been told it couldn't be done... I'm so glad you figured it out 🥳🎉 it's epic!
Your build is the most professional of all I have seen. I think dollar for dollar if you count your labor you could have got a used class A coach and change
I love it!!! I've done a lot of construction in my day. Started as a framer. Did almost everything myself on my first personal home. GC'd over 1,000 homes from 98 to 08. Then went into architectural design. With retirement on the horizon, I really want to design/build my own off grid, tiny house/RV, sell the house and hit the road full time. A search for DIY slide outs brought up your vids, and I've been watching your stuff for the last several hours through a night of insomnia. Now I'm more stoked than ever to start working on my own totally unique design build. Thank you for the inspiration!
It was definetly a fun and satisfying project when complete and it all worked. A lot of people will think your crazy. When it’s done it will turn a lot of heads. Glad you like the videos
Man I have to say this is by far the best one of these skoolie conversion buses that I have ever seen and IMO the best on YT. I am still blown away at the prices you paid for the bus and toy hauler. You built yourself $200,000 to $400,000 RV for less then you could of got a 1989 vw van with 2 flat tires and a blow up mattress with a hole in it and a weed Wacker for an engine here in California. An RV like that in California would seriously be closer to half million dollars if it's from the factory not so sure about custom built but this one should be worth that in my mind. You did and outstanding job on This RV it is gorgeous 1 of a kind and wow I just can't stop saying wow I'm at a loss for words and for a guy like me that literally never stops talking that says alot. No for real I talk ALOT! Alot alot but this thing is so cool I could talk about it all day long, I wish I seen it IRL. Nice man very nice!
I’m glad you liked the video/bus this was a lot of work and almost didn’t happen. I almost didn’t buy the trailer because of the amount of work it was going to be, but I’m glad I did and the bus turned out how I wanted it to. Thanks for watching
You say you are no engineer but I say you are an excellent example of a mechatronics engineer and your credentials are not in some institutional diploma but in your real world creation. I never finished high school but I've published two books and recieved praised from people more highly educated than I could achieve. And by my example, my three children all became highly successful in their fields. I tell you that because you and your wife are instilling into your son's an appreciation and knowledge of work skills, work ethic and genuine character building. Congratulations on being excellent parents. Bus is really nice as well!
Thank you for these nice words, it’s important to us that our kids know how to work and use their imagination, also to know that anything is possible if you just stick with it and not give up on it
Very nicely done and something to be proud of. Talk about a great platform for memory building not only from going out and enjoying it but from the build itself. Well done sir, extremely well done...
Wow!!! This was definitely a first for me! Never seen anyone build slides in a school bus!!! But it was a bit of a tease though!! Really wanted to see a tour of the finished product!!!
This is EXACTLY what I was looking for this is the EXACT kind of skoolie I want I'm so happy this is possible and someone has done it my dream seems achievable now

Thanks for watching
@@diyalaskanlifestyle I’ve been thinking about this idea like crazy but never thought it would work great execution
There is a minivan with a slide out put in. It’s pretty cool what people can do.
As an advocate of skookies, simplicities and practicality. The term" You're doing too much" comes to mind.
Well done young man!! I am not an RVer but I know how much love and work is going into this. You get me motivated to finish projects around the house, Baseboards it is for me!!
