Not Really because Vientos is Not a Quality Everyday MLB 3rd Baseman. I see DJ Stewart more likely going to be sent down Syracuse because He has an Option and McNeil can be the 5th Ofer.

@@PHN-2024 I agree, I don't like Vientos at third at all though they COULD use some productivity there. He could also spell Alonzo at first and have Pete DH. It's crazy they suddenly have options. But yeah, odd man out appears to be DJ Stewart for now.

Vientos should have made the team from the start
Which stat were you following ?? His initial call up he was striking out a ton and always looking for the long ball. He never looked comfortable at the plate like he does now. If you look at last seasons stat line it was either a strikeout or homer. He could be a legit plate threat with some plate discipline

I have not been sold on Vientos to date. He does well in AAA, but then kinda goes into a K mode to regulalry. But it's good for Mark. He needs a chance to strut his stuff some more -m ppay him, let's see what he's got, unlike how Buck handled him last year!. Much needed win for the Metsies. LGM. I'm ot looking for a WS, but would like to be entertained with a Playoff Appearnce.
I think Vientos is more of an MLB player now he's proved it he can hit for average and power if he gets the playing time he should get
This dude has so much potential as a lethal power hitter. He needs some plate discipline
Finally someone who knows baseball. Vientos is a legit threat unlike Baty who is just a singles hitter at the MLB level. Baty is a good kid, but his production at third isn't cutting it. With Mauricio and the other kids his days are numbered if he doesn't produce soon.
@@robertday1598I disagree. He hasn’t been top tier, but I think everyone was genuinely surprised at how good his defensive production became then it even translated to his bat as well. He’s messed up a couple plays but he’s also come in just as clutch as any other player on this team. He could use some discipline at the plate but he does have a beautiful swing when he gets a pitch he knows he wants. There’s a reason they chose him over Vientos from the start.
