I am proud to be an American Soldier.
Until they show up to AIT and the DS there says, âYou arenât a soldier yet, you arenât MOS qualified.â Lol
Absolutely true. In my day we didn't do DS at AIT but low and behold we arrived and this Platoon Sergeant gets on the bus angrier than the DS at Jackson 3 months earlier and starts screaming at us to get off and dump all our shit on the ground. "Ah shit, here we go again."
You are correct.
My husband is graduating from Fort Jackson in less then two weeks and Iâm super excited to see him! Proud wifeđ„°đđ
I was one these trainees, we were so tired but excited to become a soldier and to be called a soldier by our drill sergeants. It was really fun.
SIC was by far the best part of my whole entire Military career even becoming a SSG. It all started at Fort Jackson
Congratulations to all the new soldiers that graduated and to all their drills & cadre that got them there!
Ericka, congratulations on 20K subscribers (well, 23.5 now)! Hitting 20K while your trainees were at/finishing the forge... there's certainly some symbolism there for working hard, not quitting (even when you might want to), believing in yourself, and of course success!
Things can only continue to go up from here!!!
Almost a year later and I still remember basic like it was yesterday. If I could relive it, through the good and bad, I would! Miss it all.
I just discovered your channel the other day. I really enjoy watching your vids and seeing how the military has changed since I was in. I was active Army from 1990 to 1995. I spent 3 yrs in Germany and a year in Korea. I enjoyed it, but a 20 yr career was not for me. Technology made a huge jump after I got out. When I was in there was no internet, social media or smartphones. I am impressed by your accomplishments and will continue to watch your videos. Alot of what I have watched so far brings back soo many memories. Keep up the great work!
God Bless YOU for your good work, Drill Sargent! I believe in what you do. I have a vested interest in BCT right now. I see you and the other DSs lead by example and I see you lead by being right in the mix with the trainees. Your YT channel (and a couple other DS's too) offers an awesome insight into BCT that brings back a lot of memories for me and it really helps me feel in touch with what the trainees are doing at this time or soon. Thank you for the extra-duty effort! You look fabulous making it happen!
Thank you for the videos! Iâm getting ready to go to meps in a few weeks and this is really helping me get in the right mentality!
damien kwaak donât quit and donât take anything personal. Last thing you want is to become a non trainer. Enjoy yourself and pay attention, if you make it through ask for a cool duty station like Hawaiâi.
Just two weeks ago I graduated from her platoon. Sheâs an amazing drill sergeant who will definitely whip you into shape! But sheâs also dedicated and will not let you fail
Colten Young Fort Jackson?
@@bria1978 yea!
Colten Young oh ok, I was wondering if she was a DS there. I was in 3-34. But I had surgery so Iâm on con leave right now and I have to go back next month. I wonder what unit Iâll be in this time!
What unit were you in?
@@bria1978 4-39! Echo company to be exact
Good times in the forge. Got out of basic in August. At my duty station now. Looking back basic wasnât so bad pretty fun actually
Shut up lol
@UCPIfdyIDQZUrsVGtFL0_TFwgo get in formation lol
C Bone Iâm guessing youâre having a bad day cause who tf is in the army and looks at forge videos.. I bet youâre not even in the army
@@tylermaxey1165 apparently you
C Bone bruh I commented on this video almost a year ago and havenât seen it since. Why are you even here watching this crap? Fucking nerd
Was a commissioned officer 40 years ago. Received my commission with honors as DMS/DMG, Scabbard and Blade Honor Society. Then I got sent to this crappy post in the middle of the desert where every field grade officer was there to retire. I hated that post. But I learned good lessons in working with people and what NOT TO DO. Finished my one and only tour and got out.
Congrats to every solider who served. It might be a great service for you, it may be a complete waste of time and thought you just tossed away 3 years of your life. But you will all learn something and brought you some life lessons that woukd help you later in life.
As a former AIT Platoon Sergeant this is great content. Most of us went through BCT 10+ years ago and seeing what soldiers go through these days is valuable. Keep up the great work DS
My daughter is doin the forge this week. We love yall
I love your channel it helps me so much because i am joining the Army very soonâ€
CONGRATS TO ALL THE SOLDIERS BLESSINS JOB WELL DONE
NIC without the weapons looks so much easier man! Great video, awesome memories.
Your. Videos are great your so frigin awesome keep it up
Great work
I remember doing the Team Development Course/ Confidence Obstacle Course/ etc in SC for JCLC in 2018 & 2019 it was laborious. Wish I could do it all over again, I had so much fun doing these courses.
This right here is the best part of the forge. 334 did it at night (2 am) when I went to bct
I don't think I'd be at AIT right now if you didn't move to second platoon last cycle. I appreciate the motivation drill sergeant!!
aint nobody motivated us like SDS Pulido lmao. DS Stevens and DS Hill are awesome though.
These videos are great
My husband leaves to army boot camp next Monday. They are sending him to Fort Jackson SC.
THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Awesome video ! I didnât get to do the forge in my BCT. Did they replace low crawling under live fire with the forge?
where ever you are Brandon i hope you have fun at the army so be safe love you your cousin Dylan if you got my message
I hated the forge... but low key it brought me closer with my battles in BCT . But after doin the forge I knew I could do anything
My squad was the only one who got the fuel across. I used my belt to secure the planks together. 1SG saw me do that and shook his head. Saying "you are thinking but keep your pants on"
My memory was hazy about the Forge due to exhaustion after all the marching. I did remembered that me and my buds manage to solve the casualty evac with a robe over the tar pit during the Team Development Course. I'm pretty sure my DS video the whole thing as rarely anyone success in those event in team development course.
We finished our forge with a 16 mile ruck the. Another when we finished osut 11 weeks later
I remember this confidence course from jclc
14 years later and it feels like yesterday!
Hey Ericka!! You ever going guard or staying active?
Ft. Jackson BCT 1-61 "Roadrunners" B Co. 3rd Plt.
Graduated March 26, 2020
HOOAH! đđ
Congratulations Beautiful
Graduated from that same Echo Co. Cbrn Ait right after and now Deployed. The DS were right when they said you might get deployed straight after your training đ
We had to ruckmarch 13 miles for the forgeâs ruckmarch. We only had one heat cat at the 5th mile in while we waited 2 hours for the whole thing at midnight. After this I was tired asf and my dumbass ankles decide to trip 3 times. Once at the 7th mile 2nd in the 10 mile and 3rd at the eleventh the pain was unbearable but it was the last ruckmarch which just kept my ass going lmao. The drill SGTs told us that it wouldâve been 10 miles but nooo our weak ass private legs had to do 13.
Sic was awesome but the moment I remember most was right after the nic at night course one of my drills called me over and said thats how you get it done battle and gave me a fist bump dam near cried lol
Man C161 was my company at Jackson I miss them days but thatâs was back in 2011 THE ARMY CHANGED so I got out lol
me and this one guy left our berets and we didnât attend that ceremony but we did knock the fuck out while they stood in cold ass weather, we did have to ground guide for like 2miles right after the forge and lift all the bags back to the company tho lol
What happens after the SIC? Do the SITs then have another full day of training? What does that day look like for them?
We didn't even do fit to win during the forge. We just kind of ran through the course, not even completing the obstacles.
Boys and girls together at basic. Like the chair force
Pretty sure every branch is like that except for the marines
This is my battalion 4-39!!! Memories
Out there making Memories, On my tims.
I leave for BCT this Monday I'm ready to kick some serious ass
never did those for my forge
Ha we were still called trainee
Hey I didnât know how to personally message you but Iâm going to drill sergeant school I was just wondering if you could answer a couple questions . Thanks .
You make it?
People will say that. ASIC training is softer than before but all I know if I never did the forge and it sounded worse than any field we did.
Yep. We became soldiers after the forge and they still called us trainees after...
Lol because you didnât graduate yet
@@void870
Shouldn't matter. We were "soldiers" in their eyes.
@Nate Cannon
Youâre not really anything until youâre MOS qualified lol
And even then, youâre not going to be taken seriously at your line unit until you have some years and/or deployments under your belt.
@@void870
Well I suppose it's a good thing I am MOS Qualified and coming up on my 1 year anniversary.
Nate Cannon active? Or Nasty Girl?
Do soldiers not have to do nic@night anymore
Right? Its weird seeing the new (seemingly softer) stuff theyâre doing now.
They do nic at night they do it the first night
We did this during red phase not the forge
Did you already do the forge?
@@noouhh1420 yeah i graduated from jackson in november
@@Moonsaladz thatâs awesome I do the forge in February Iâm on VBL right now. Can you give a run down on what to expect?
@@noouhh1420 hardest part of basic is the cold honestly lol all we did for our forge was ruck 12 miles on the first night, run medical lanes then do NIC the second day, then the last day we did basically another ruck but with other stuff like you run for a mile then shoot, then carry equipment a few miles. you do most of this during the night. take the string off your earpro at NIC if you dont want it ripped out of your ear while youre crawling tho, i learned that the hard way.
@@Moonsaladz got it, thank you!
Fort Benning Obstacle course is much better
My only fear is having to use the latrine what are the rules on that?
nathan Mendoza went through fort jackson 3 months ago its porta potties the whole time. Now iv graduated ait and on my way to south korea
Ian Warrick great have fun there
nathan Mendoza have no fear
They give you latrine break always, before you ask but if itâs emergency just ask with a battle buddy they let you go.
If you go to benning they either have port a jons or most times you get that e-tool and go deep in the woods and dig a deep hole, shit in it, then cover it over with the dirt to where it's unnoticeable good luck
