Also to bear in mind. Of the 8 home grown players required for the Champions League squad. 4 must be trained at club. So Ramsey fulls that requirement, and is a full first team player, instead of naming players from the u-21s

Their bid wasn't "huge".
It was derisory for a player of his ability.
We don't need to sell Ramsey. We don't want to sell Ramsey. Ramsey doesn't want to leave.
There is nothing more that needs to be said unless Daniel Levy wants to offer us a world record bid.
And he wont.
It also says that our PSR issues are over.
Midlands reporter John Townley all but confirms that by stating that the Douglas Luiz deal appeases the PSR bean counters & any other sales are for building the squad & nothing to do with the 31st June PSR deadline.
The other sales will obviously affect PSR, but for future years...

Lo Celso’s market value is sitting around £15-20m so I suppose the bid in its totality was around a £40m package, which is sizeable? Obviously as I stated in the video, rejecting it was absolutely the right thing to do 🦁🦁🦁
@@LetsTalkVilla I think fans have a better sense of real values than some of these sites and data companies. For example they use wages as a metric in their calculations. This is fine in most instances but some times fails to address things like meteoric rises and youth status.

I laughed when I heard the bid as good old Levy tried his usual trick of attempting to take advantage of a club he thought HAD to sell, like the vulture he is.
ManU have been doing the same thing with Braithwaite.
Which is why those clubs are driving all of this media nonsense about "unfair practices" (oh the irony is just dripping all over that, lol) & warnings that could never be acted upon by the Premier League.
And its all because Tottenham wanted the rules to force us to sell them Ramsey on the cheap & ManU wanted the rules to force Everton to sell them Braithewait(Sp?) on the cheap.
So now we have the Pram tipped & dolly's everywhere because they didn't get their own way.
I wasnt a fan of the Dobbin transfer as tbh, I think he is crap, but if it stops ManU ripping off Everton to the point of them throwing a tantrum, then I am all for it.

If I was dealing with Barca, I would try to rip them for as much money as possible. They think their previous success while forcing other clubs under their boot will continue due to their reputation alone, but they have had their day when they spent so much money it was obscene.
The fact that they are now so skint that they are selling off future rights means that they are just kicking this financial destruction down the road.
Personally, I hope it blows up in their faces. They preyed on the rest of La Liga as well as other clubs in Europe while spending money they didn't have.
I hope other clubs do the same back to them now.
As for Lo Celso, it all depends on who buys him. If its outside of the Premier League, he will go for £15M-£20M. If he is bought by another Premier League club, then another £10M-£15M can be added on top of that for the 'Premier League tax'.
I hope we stay well clear.

That bid is an insult. Spurs being cheeky thinking we were in trouble. Absolute jokers. They've just sullied any chance of buying him or other villa players by insulting us. To think we just finished above them aswell. What a tinpot awful club.
JJ on form is 40 million plus player
Apparently Lange (who’s at Spurs now) wants JJ badly, so I could see this being and initial / opening bid with more to come 😢

I could see him developing into an England player for sure, defo needs to step it up next season as he wasn’t himself this season, obvs injuries didn’t help!
Ramsey is unsellable for the simple reason we need homegrown at club players in our champions league squad (4 spaces / 25) so without him we'd only have 21 players.

Min 4 club: Ramsey, (then maybe Archer, Louie Barry, Sinisalo - fringe players!)
Max 4 other locally: Martinez, Morgan, Mings, Konsa, Cash, Chambers, Maatsen, Watkins
Plus as many under 21s as we want from the club
I’m sure we could promote a player or buy one but it is a very good point I didn’t even consider!
@@scottofthearctic I don't think Archer counts as "club trained". They can't have spent more than 1 year registered at other clubs (loaned or otherwise) before the age of 21. Barry doesn't count either.
I think Ramsey is the only player We have that fits the criteria out of the 4 required. The other 4 "Home grown" slots are fine and Archer and Barry do fit with in that though they are fringe players as mentioned and could be sold.
We'll end up naming 22 of the allowed 25 and having some under 21's ready to play if really needed.
@@LetsTalkVilla You can't buy a "club trained" player. They have to have been at the club for at least 3 years before the age of 21 with no more than 1 year registered with another club.
U21s don't need to be registered. You can play as many as you like without registration, so no need to "promote" a player unless they're over 21.
With just Ramsey, We only have 1 out of the 3 slots meaning our registered CL squad can currently be no larger than 22 players unless we needlessly register an U21 player.
The 4 "Home grown" slots are easy, We have plenty. Just the 4 "club trained" We are screwed on and can do nothing about.
We are sound with PSR now So we don’t sell Ramsey at all

It was derisory and made even more ridiculous by its timing.
From our point of view it was an unacceptable bid no matter what. From theirs, why not make it before We had PSR sorted to see of you could get away with it and force a hand.
Lo Celso will be sold for as little as £10m to a none rival and £15m to the likes of us.
It’s sizeable in the sense of it’s a near £40m package, but huge may have been a title grab tbf 🤔🤣
I just like the fact it gave us an indication that we’re now probably in the clear in terms of PSR and that Ramsey is a big part of Emery’s plans!
