I can't stress enough how happy I am for Bruce Cassidy, coming from a Bruins fan with plenty of heartache since 2011. I didn't want him to go last year, I knew it was a mistake. He's a great guy, and he busts his ass, this is very deserving and I'm glad he got there.
I agree! As a life long BRUINS fan, this was one of the best seasons!!! It hurts but I'm glad the KNIGHTS won!!!!! I'd have loved to see the BRUINS match up with them. Oh well, there's always next season ❤😂😅

So as I was saying as a long time redwings fan I still haven’t seen any of my sports teams win a championship until last night I’ve waited 17 long years of my life watching sports and none of my Detroit teams have done anything I mean I didn’t get into hockey until right when the redwings glory days last made the cup final in 2009 pretty unfortunate becoming a fan then they go in to rebuild.

I was just thinking about that today. LA and Seattle too honestly . Both are good teams. People always act like the East is SOOO much deeper but it really isn’t . There may be more bottom feeders in the west but there’s an equal amount of contenders in the west and the west has won the cup 2 years in a row.

It's easy when an expansion team now can deplete a good team's roster by not being able to protect everybody. Just like the 2001 Arizona Diamondbacks in baseball, Paper Champions, nothing more. Besides, playing an 8 seed without having to play the best teams from the east helps.

I had a feeling that the Golden Knights were going to win this game, because in their previous 2 series where their opponent was facing elimination, Las Vegas destroyed their opponents!
I wanted Florida to win this final because they have been in the NHL since 1993 without a Stanley Cup.
But I don't mind it that the Golden Knights won the Stanley Cup, because they also have never won a Stanley Cup (but they have only been in the NHL for 6 seasons). So I am genuinely happy for the Golden Knights 👏.
I think that the fact that they won with their 4th string goalie, Aidin Hill, was absolutely remarkable! Lehner, Thompson and Broissoit were all injured!
