No they are not
Joint Venture account is a nominal account in which you record your expenses and incomes while Memorandum Joint Venture account is used to ascertain the profit or loss of the Joint Venture business
The former goes through the double entry system while the latter does not

I have doubt! In method 2 there are two ways to do joint venture accounting, one is to prepare the books of each co-venturer and the other method is MEMORANDUM METHOD(when venturer maintains a records of his own transactions)
So my doubt is...
Isn't this Memorandum method and the Memorandum method you explaining in this video is one amd the same? 😲
