    Thank you Maul. You greatly assist me in learning higher levels of perception and motion, body physics and mobility. I can never thank you enough!

    Very good, not because of the moves, because you explain it well and once very good

    I love the way Maul uses his forearm to apply the pressure to the opponent's knife hand to take them to the ground at the end of the sequence instead of risking his own fingers. That's beautiful finesse. 😊

    I like that you show first and then explain and give more context.

    Brilliant. Beautiful art. I also appreciate the "flow" approach to show possibilities and energy interactions & responses. Your positioning is impeccable. Love it.

    Never work with a mad crazed killer with random moves , just run away… fast 💨

    • @persada5913
      @persada5913 Před rokem

      Sez who? What u see here is just the tip of the iceberg. Unlike other martial arts, Silat is dynamic and not rigid like most east asian martial arts. This is just one demonstration on how to deal with a trained knife wielder. For amateur who only knows to slash randomly, it's just a milkrun for Silat master! The dangerous one is not amateur who random swings their knife but trained killer who knows his stuff and that's what Silat is for, a professional killer!😉

      With Maul (he has expressly stated that that's what he prefers to be called, not 'sifu', 'guru', 'master', etc) I always have to use the gear wheel top right to slooow it right down to 0.25 speed.
      Also, making a clip of the most tricky move(s) is really helpful as CZcams will loop it for you to study. HTH. 😊

    Where to look in fight?

    • @kobked-x
      @kobked-x Před rokem

      I was trained to look at the solar plexus, well slightly above that, center chest. this way you can use your peripheral sight to watch both the arms and legs without missing the all Important Shoulders. Maul may have a better answer as he is a Master and I am just a student of the Arts.

    You must fight with krav maga knife

    • @kobked-x
      @kobked-x Před rokem

      Krav Maga is a ok [ish] but its not a real Art in the same way as its a constructed art made with cherry picked moves for a Military purpose of Killing, That may at first glance Sound like Silat but its not. Why not? Well because it has had all the history surgically removed and an ART with out a vision is not "real" in my mind. Without History the past is dead and thus, practitioners are doomed to repeat mistakes without the teacher of history to correct you, hence no vision to the future if there is no vision of the past. Best bet is , go train with Maul or at least a Silat Master, but Make sure on the first day to ask if you can test the ART by attacking randomly at will and at full force... then, Please upload what happens :)
