Howdy, as a Geometry Dash player who has been waiting, like many others, for this update for more than 6 years, I can tell you, the new official levels are arguably one of the least exciting aspects of this update. That was but an intro. The real deal is in the editor, which has become incredibly advanced to levels I cannot even begin to imagine. Give the community some time to get used to it and you can expect crazy custom levels that blow the official levels out of the water.
Also, I think we're fine with Geometry Dash not getting an update any time soon, 2.2 can suffice for a decade's worth of content.

@@HyperDashYT I never said they were bad, just stated they were the least exciting part of 2.2. Be honest, when you think of peak 2.1, do you ever think back to Fingerdash? I'm sure you come up with any other level besides Fingerdash, maybe LIMBO, Bloodlust, Change of Scene, etcetera. I'm almost certain the community will forget about Dash in a few months and move on to crazier levels.
Still though, I want to clarify, I love Dash and the new Platformer levels!
2.2 IS LEGITIMATELY SO FUN!!! Even though it took a ton of time, it doesn't matter because the community was alive and well through all of it, and the new features is going to create a renaissance of new levels. Legitimately, this is the biggest thing to ever happen to GD (which shows in the numbers, it hit 80k on steam charts). I AM SO HAPPY :DDDDD!!!!!!
It was literally within the top ten of all time highest player count at once on a steam game!

Fun fact: Geometry Dash works on its own save system, separate from Steam Cloud. You need to have an account in-game and press the Save button every now and then. That's likely why progress didn't transfer over for you.
