First of all, this is hilarious and we need more skits like this. Whoever thought of this needs a raise.
Secondly, Pauline is clearly the a**hole. She is aware that Michelle and some of the coworkers are scared of her, so she perched in Gary’s doorway to intimidate them? Not cool. Also, she is clearly leading Gary on. She knows he wants more than friendship. I think she is using him for his cushy office and needs to be sent outside to the nearest bush.
Teeny is the real asshole in the story. Embezzling funds from his owners company which eventually will get Michelle fired.

Jackie and Shayne have some of the best chemistry on the cast, they play off of eachother so well, and everyone acting out their conversation is priceless.
I'm early and can't wait to see this. These are fantastic. Not gonna lie: this is my favorite video in a long time. The acting in this is fantastic. It's great.

I love how they actually film the scenes, makes the videos waaaay more fun, reminds me of Luis from the antman movies narrating stuff and also reminds me of The Office narration bits. To be brutally honest, I found the older AITA videos to be a bit boring because they are literally just reading stuff from the internet and laughing, not really that much going on, but the fact that they actually act out the story makes this way funnier and fun to watch

ESH. Michelle is a hypocrite for not leashing her dog despite others being scared of dogs, and OP could stand to be more sensitive, such as getting the spider a cage. That said, I love this series! The re-enactments remind me of Drunk History in the best possible way.

I agree. Aracnaphobia is a real thing, my wife has it. If the dude wants to keep a common spider as a pet, ok cool, but yes get a small plastic bug container that has a vented lid. You can get them in the kids toy section at the store. There is nothing wrong with keeping a spider as a pet Offstar, it's funny how ridiculous you sounded calling Julia out 🤣
You also can't trust people with how they raise their dogs. I think it's very disrespectful to bring your dog to work without it being on a leash. Take it off the leash if it stays in your office and you have a door you can shut to keep it in your area. I've been attacked by dogs and bitten right after an owner says their dog is nice. My parents dog is nice to them and our family, but if anyone gets near us or the property, she will go after them.
The whole office situation in the OP just got out of hand. Most likely this whole incident was the result in just the 2 co-workers not liking that they are being told by someone to do something.
At the end of the day, if it's the dudes office, Michelle has no say as to the state of his office. (Also clarifying to everyone if you payed close attention to the OP, Michelle is not the guys boss, he mentions the boss as a he towards the end of the OP)

As someone who's super uncomfortable around both spiders and unleashed dogs... I don't think I'd be friends with Gary or Michelle. But I seriously love these acted out AITA readings! They're amazing! :D

I had a rather demoralizing and self-esteem-harming day at work today, but the “number one whiteboard salesmen” bit here finally got a smile out of me.

I feel like there both in the wrong but Michelle was way more in the wrong than Gary. Making whiteboard, faking outbursts, and her large untrained dog.
Gary could have taken the spider out, or even kept them enclosed at home if they really wanted, but he also used it to make a point to management about her hypocrisy.
Spiders who have made homes in enclosed spaces like an office eont survive outside, they arent aclimated. The solution is for gary to give it an enclosure so the spider isnt buckwild.
@@angelserna47 if the office has bug problems then Gary is right. However if not, Gary isn’t an asshole, but Ne needs to put it in a terrarium or release it. I’m no Karen but I can’t imagine having spiders in an office would be a clean environment to work in. The boss however is blatantly the asshole. If it weren’t for the dog I’d say they are both evenly assholes about this but factoring in the facts about the dog and her attitude towards this entire situation, she is definitely a bad boss and not handling this correctly
That was my take as well. Obviously we are just getting Gary's side of the story here. But there seems to be bigger issues than a spider, and the boss is just ignoring the issues.

Just came from watching jackie and shayne being frenemies, smosh has delivered once again, everyone in this is absolute comedy genius, gold!
Lot of work went into this. Props to your set designer who clearly loved being part of the show.
Michelle was being an asshole about it, but Jerry should just remove the Spider. Shayne is right.
If it's a pet, it should be caged up at work. If it's not a pet, get it out of the office.
Michelle needs to leash her dog at work too though. That's important regardless of this situation.
The thing is it's a common spider and unlike a dog that is unruly, spiders actually help. They get rid of cockroaches and other insects. Also, considering the fact that it only bothers Michelle meanwhile Michelle's dog bothers a lot more people. I'm more inclined towards the Michelle being the asshole.
I think its kinda ridiculous to expect to "cage" a spider. some interactions we have with animals aren't one or the other. that spider is still free and should be allowed to leave as she pleases, but also some people at the office genuinely got attached to her and wanted her around. and I think its unfair to ask them to remove her if she is harmless. not every cenario is that black or white. I think Michelle should get over herself. not everyday people develop beautiful friendships with animals, and its sad all she sees in this is herself. the spider has clearly made a (TINY) part of the office their home, and the people around has made her a comfortable friend.
I had a similar situation with a 2 week old kitten. the sheer cruelty of people to just "remove" innocent animals from their space boggles my mind. not every outdoor animal should immediately be caged and become a pet. but I don't think it means you should throw it away...

We undoubtedly live in an age where this happens all the time, and we are expected to cater to everyone’s sensitivities. What makes this situation different? @@BichaeldeAngelo well for one, I find it quite weird to call a spider "offensive". I mean in that case, in that very story alone one can find her dog offensive as well. different folks different strokes after all. I get some people have phobias, but under similar logic, we can't forget society is a biosystem of interactions and simbiotic conditions. we can't ONLY see ourselves, even if something is "offensive" or uncomfortable for us. I personally find it very hard to bring up anything that is unpleasant for me, even if the other person is being a little rude (playing music too loud etc...). its not necessarily good, but we should never be *too* comfortable with just telling people off without considering their side. in this case their genuine friendship with the spider, as well as the spider's well being, outweight her uncomfortability imo, especially if it remains in the guy's office most of the time. there are creatures all around us. the world is not ours... if its harmless, why so heartlessly and thoughtlessly throw it away? if she was a bit less selfish she could have grown accustomed to it, I 100% guarantee. people just don't care to try for the sake of others anymore, even a little bit. we're all so selfish we want everything to be catering to OUR needs. without considering the joy of others. its that simple, the people in the office genuinely like the spider and enjoy him around.
I get your point, but I also have to disagree with having to cater to everyones needs. I think we need to always try, and always see the other. but there also MUST be a limit. or else we'd be doing more damage than good.. kinda like the horse shoe theory concept, go too far and you'd be right back at the beginning.
TLDR: honestly it all boils down to being a little bit more altruistic and genuinely TRY for the sake of other people's (and ALL beings') well being and happiness. 😃

We know that the spider does scare someone, and there's a complete and total lack of control of the spider (makes the phobia much worse and allows for potential infestation problems). This is an extremely toxic work environment for someone with a phobia, so Gary is clearly an a**hole for keeping the spider.
Michelle's definitely not an a**hole for being upset about Gary keeping the spider, because Gary was an a**hole for keeping the spider, but she could be an a**hole for bringing in her dog. Even if we trust Gary's information that there are people that are scared of dogs, and her dog doesn't have a leash, then we still don't have nearly enough information. Potentially important information that we don't know: how big the dog is, how much it sheds, how well it's trained, and how close it usually is to Michelle in case she needs to grab it. We really just don't have enough information to figure this part out.
