Rachel White The military bans all kinds of people it doesn't deem fit for service such as being underweight, being overweight, being the surviving relative of military personel that died in combat, those with insufficient aptitude and those with mental or physical handicaps, which includes gender dysphoria. Many people who want to fight for their country are denied the chance due to many other factors and standards they fail to meet. The military doesn't do this to make fun of or to spite people, but to protect them as well as itself. A soldier, for instance, cannot have any moral compass, it must follow orders unquestioningly and unflinchingy, many soldiers that have a deep sense of right and wrong are expelled this way, especially those with a deep religious conviction. By the same ordinances, trans people cannot take hormones or any surgeries that interferes with their service, they are forced to conform to their assigned gender at birth, which by the way only makes their depression and dysphoria worse, the military, after all, is not an inclusive or friendly club where just about anyone can join, but a harsh and unfeeling system that sees people as expendable military equipment that the country is willing to sacrifice in order to protect itself.
Rachel White Trans people suffer from gender dysphoria (their brains are developed to be female while their bodies are born male and vice versa), while HRT has been available and provided by the military in the past, it is much more expensive and difficult to administer in the battle field, contraceptives and drugs that stop menstruation are easier but HRT comes in several doses and causes some debilitating side-effects (headaches, cramps, bloating, vestigial swelling, depression and mood swings) the whole regime becomes delayed as trans people cannot last in a military campaign that often takes years. In short, it's very impractical. The military should not give these people special treatment and withdraw them from the field whenever they experience hormone imbalances or suffer from withdrawal. The same goes for trans people in non-combat roles.
It is not the military's job to validate a person's identity or make them feel better or make their dreams come true, soldiers are subjected to degrading, morale breaking and often harsh simulations. Their job is protect the country and this includes making their soldiers as efficient as possible. So yeah when a soldier is a "financial burden" such as being trans or having other problems that require special support and treatment, they are absolved from military service.
Rachel White The problem is it's not only a matter of financial burden, it is also that of a tactical one. As a soldier, you must be able to endure living in a warzone in harsh condition, cut off from conventional means of support. Your whole squad depends on each other, Trans people, even in probationary fields (6 months) require special dispensation. You cannot call in sick during a military campaign and go home to return the next day because your hormones are acting up, so they levy and remove trans people from the field and send them back to the nearest outpost miles away and this leaves the squad or platoon one man/woman short, which can mean all the difference between life or death. As a soldier you need to be reliable, you cannot abandon your team.
Epic Ender 1. I don't think viagra debilitates soldiers in any way, nor are they difficult to administer. Neither do soldiers require surgery, sick leave or be taken out of combat while under the effects of viagra.
2. The military is not a charity or a make a wish come true foundation. No matter how much you say that trans people are a minority, they don't deserve to get a special snowflake consideration and be treated differently.
3. Yes there are, but they're not transitioning.
Epic Ender 1. The military doesn't spend more on soldiers based on their sexuality or gender identity, they spend more on effective units, the majority if which are straight men (shocker).
2. People suffering from gender dysphoria/ undergoing HRT/ Recovering from sex change surgery are not capable soldiers, they are a liability.
3. Thank you for repeating what I basically said. The people pushing for trans people to be included in the military, however, demand that they cover a recruit's HRT, Surgery as well as offer sick leaves and a lesser tenure, in short, they want special dispensation and preferential treatment.

It's a very small demographic of the greater population in which their job relys on the teamwork and cooperation with fellow soldiers. In other words, it's not a social experiment for political reasons. Many soldiers don't feel comfortable living with male-female hybrids 24 hours a day. You think that won't affect teamwork?? Let's put that same uncomfortablity to the test when soldiers are gone out on missions where lives are at stake. It's a small sacrifice for a greater cause. I'd rather have a trans free military than to be veterns dying because of the lack of teamwork with their trans soldiers, all because the country wants to be politically correct.
In all honesty, though, trans people are really stuffed in the head no matter how you spin it. And the military has to deal with enough mental issues among troops already.

A study was done that took pictures of 23 people's brains then they were first born, toddlers, teenagers, and then again at age 18. They noticed a difference in brain shape between people who were male, female, and inconclusive (they grew to be non-binary people) trans men and cis men had the same brain structure, cis women and trans women had the same brain structure, and non-binary people of both sexes had their own brain structure.
It's not hard to understand, but these are the facts, clear as day. Go complain about it to your safe space on facebook like the snowflake you are.

My gay brother kept posting on Facebook that Trump hated gay people. So I showed him this video multiple times. Once through messenger, once as a link as a comment on his posts, and once as my own post tagging him. Each time he ignored my response and eventually he blocked me. This is the world we live in, this is why people hate Trump. Because they flat out REFUSE to even CONSIDER taking 5 minutes to reevaluate the situation. If they truly did the research on the left and it’s policy, and looked at The people they would actually realize trump is the good guy and almost every democrat is actually basically a domestic terrorist. This is why I chose the right. I opened my eyes looked at it from both angles and at that point it was a flat out no brainer.

Theres alot of things we have to worry about including testosterone, surgery, clothing, etc. I don't blame him even if im not his biggest fan. He has a point. Why is this bad? Trans people will continue to enter the millitary (Banning them wont make them go away) but will be forced to stay in the closet and won't be able to get any help during their time in the millitary. Additionally their is a level of uncertainty because if a dem gets elected trans people could be made legal again, but trump is creating instability in their lives.
This is a petty attack in a tiny portion of the US military members (less than 0.5%) who are trans. In reality the amount the taxpayers have spent on trans healthcare is SIGNIFICANTLY less than the amount taxpayers have spent for trump to play golf over 200 times (which has costed up to 141,000,000 million).

An employer can make any decision he sees fit in terms of who he fires and employs. Although I don't agree that they should fire someone because of their sexual orientation, I don't think it should be illegal. The employer owns the business and decides who works there.
