If she has control over diseases she would be a great healing and support hero. She could cure any pathogen/virus. Even newly discovered alien ones most doctors couldn't treat. Not to mention she could weaken even the strongest opponents enough for her teammates to defeat, by infecting them with entirely new illnesses of her own design. Like giving superman a kryptonite disease, etc.
It’s not that she has control over diseases, Infectious Lass can create any disease, so healing is not something that she’s capable of doing. Support is more likely, however certain adversaries, such as robotic enemies would obviously be immune to her attacks. There’s also the possibility of her missing a an intended target and hitting an ally instead which could very negatively affect the outcome of the situation.
@@AcemodiusVT If My Hero Academia taught me anything it's that every power can be useful. It all depends on how you use it. If she has enough control over the diseases she can synthesize within herself, she could design them to target certain individuals and not her teammates. Robots of course would be immune but the same could be said for telepathic heroes. That's where the other heroes with more traditional powers, super strength etc, come in.
Unfortunately her power was pretty easy to avoid, also you could just use a water hose to defeat her, happened twice. Definitely could be OP if her power developed more.
In the comic she was rejected because she couldn't properly control her powers. She ended up putting Star Boy in the Hospital. It is the same reason that Polar Boy and Porcupine Pete were rejected, although Polar Boy did eventually join The Legion after being able to better control his powers.
To add to my previous comment: There are a number of reasons an individual would be rejected for membership: - Inability to adequately control their powers: Like I mentioned before, Infectious Lass was rejected because she couldn't control her powers, so was Fire Lad (he set everything in the room on fire). - Powers duplicate those of an existing member: Wildfire was initially rejected because all of the powers he displayed at his tryout duplicated those of already in the Legion. Because he was afraid he might disperse he didn't display his unique superpower, the ability to generate anti-energy blasts. He ended up using the power and it appeared he died. Later, he pulled his energy together and entered his containment suit. The Legion of Super-Rejects were rejected for the same reason (each member came from the same planet as a Legion member and had the same powers). - The power isn't useful or too limited: A number of individuals have been rejected for this reason. -- Absorbency Boy had the ability to temporarily duplicate the abilities of other people by wearing their clothing, considered too limited. -- Double-Header had two heads and was rejected because not only was his "power" not useful, but his two heads constantly argued with each other driving everyone crazy. - Power relies on mechanical devices: Anti-Lad's powers (the ability to turn someone's abilities against them) came from his visor and he had no superpowers. Actually, he was from the future and was there to ensure that Superboy joined the Legion. In the future due to a malfunctioning time viewer history was altered so that Superboy was rejected for Legion membership. He made it look like he had caused Superboy to fail, and he wiped everyone's memories of the incident. The only evidence he left behind was a photograph that was taken of him.
Personally she has the power to cause a global panic and pandemic and only thing stopping her from being a dangerous threat to that magnitude is her own allergies and a 8th level intellect to produce the damage quickly without harming herself to some degree
I know that this can sound terrible, but, imagine fight someone and your enemy make you have diarrea on the middle of the fight, i dont know you guys, but i would surrender just to use the bathroom.
With age, one's control and intensity of their power increases, so as an adult Infectious Lass could be a pretty powerful ally and a frightening enemy.
This is a power with a lot of potential if she trains it, but her being a hero is its biggest limitation. More so than with most heroes. She'll have to work hard to prevent harming the wrong people and killing her enemies.
Okay, this is the first time i see this character but i want more of her. She has a great power she only need to finess her fighting style and strategy in order to become top tier. ...actually.. Toss away Limelight rom that JusticeLeague movie and replace her with this girl!

Let's put it this way... the league is glad that she's trying to be a HERO. Just have her out and about with malicious intent and well.. you've seen how actual humans react to a pandemic.
This was during tryouts for Legion membership. Often they would include a mix of individuals, some with potential, and some who were basically there for humor. In the early days individuals just showed up and asked to join (Triplicate Girl, Phantom Girl). Eventually, they started holding tryouts to give individuals a chance to join the team. To join you have to have an actual superpower that you could control, it couldn't rely on any type of technology, it didn't duplicate a power a Legionnaire has, and it had to be useful. Some of the rejects, their powers, and why they were rejected: - Arm-Fall-Off Boy: Had removable limbs that could be used as a club. Not useful. - Eye-Full Ethyl: Had eyes all around her head which gave her 360 degree vision. Not useful. - Absorbancy Boy: Could temporarily gain the power of anyone by wearing their clothes (if he put on Superboy's costume he'd have his powers for a short time). Too limited. - Fire Boy: Ability to breath fire. Not able to control his powers. - Calorie Queen: Ability to eat matter in all its forms. Duplicated the powers of Matter-Eater Lad. Special Case: - ERG-One: An energy being in a containment suit giving him a wide variety of powers. While he could duplicate the power of many Legion members (including Shrinking Violet and Colossal Boy), he didn't appear to have a unique power of his own. He did have a unique superpower (the ability to generate a blast of anti-energy) but he was afraid to use it because it might cause him to permanently disperse. When it did use that power it appeared that's what happened. Later, he pulled his energy back together and reentered his containment suit. He defeated a villain and joined the Legion as Wildfire.
I know she was kind of a gag hero, but she pretty much has the power of plague, which is pretty damn powerful
You forgot to mention, a scary power at that.
She can make covid 20 lol

@@AcemodiusVT But what if she creates a disease that specifically targets diseases, leaving the host un-harmed?
What if she makes bacteria in a way that allows the body to have quicker adaption and development of antibodies.

lmao

(Sprays power) “You now have Ebola”
Like, her powers are actually awesome. She's a concious bioweapon
With her powers, she could really get covid under control
There’s something real cute about the fact she has asthma while having the power to cause a plague.
good moves infectious lass
This brings up a question does she control pathogens or spread them her threat level derives off of that
She could very easily take down enemies by giving them a cold they'd be so busy with the alignments they could be taken down passively.
She'd totally get justice leagued today...
so she can basically give all enemies super ultra death cancer.

she can give you the most stronges variant of corona and shes a gag character pfffffffffffffffff
Oh god she's a champion of Nurgle
Would 😊
This just reminds me of Harley Quinn giving someone cancer haha
0:09 is she high you know what i mean
Where's kleenex boy?
And when eda clawthorne learn the plague magic?
She shows potential but it was really not shown
it is a very unpleasant power and a double edged sword
How is she a gag when in theory she can made a pandemic and wipe out civilizations
Many girls already have this power
To see what I mean type in adult Halloween adult swim
Man, they really nerfed Fugo’s stand in this arc.
Yes!
