- After a decade of using my Technics SL1210-MK2 turntables, I've decided to upgrade to the new silver MK7s.
To be honest, this new model feels great. Overall, they keep the original Technics essence with several aspects that improve on the old model.
The feel, traction, arm, illumination and pitch has been improved for my personal opinion. Although the final materials, chassis, legs, weights could be better.
The connections are very comfortable, now it is not necessary to open the turntable to change cables. Brilliant.
This is my first set with these new turntables, I hope you like it. I have compiled some recent records and I hope to record new videos showing more music from my vinyl collection.

Después de más de una década usando mis platos Technics SL1210-MK2, he decidido actualizarlos por los nuevos MK7 plateados.
Para ser honestos, este nuevo modelo se siente muy bien. En general, mantienen la esencia original de Technics con varios aspectos que mejoran los modelos antiguos.
El tacto, tracción, brazo, iluminación y pitch han sido mejorado para mi gusto personal. Aunque los materiales finales, chasis, patas, pesos podrían ser mejor.
Las conexiones son muy cómodas, ahora no es necesario abrir el plato para cambiar cables. De lujo!
Esta es mi primera sesión con los nuevos platos, espero que os guste. He recopilado algunos discos recientes y espero poder grabar nuevos videos mostrando más música de mi colección de vinilos.

I have the originals mk2, at the moment m5g. But the mk7's are the best for home use, the pitch control is perfect 👌🏻

I like the new technics 1200 mk7. I use this for very long mixing. The pitch ist fine and hold the speed. 🙂
That's right it's beter then the sl-1200mk2.

Llevo meses debatiéndome entre comprar unos MK2 y unos MK7 y me gustaría saber tu opinión….
Menudos mezclones….
Básicamente voy a pinchar breakbeat y electro de los 90. Oldskool boy me gustan las mezclas largas. Hace años que no toco unos platos y todos mis amigos me dicen que ni loco me pille unos MK7, pero he leído y escuchado muy buenas cosas sobre el pitch digital de los MK7 y que aguantan la mezcla mucho mejor….

Pues mi opinión bien sincera es que vayas a por unos MK7 sin pensarlo (y si la economia lo permite), el tacto que tienen son un gustazo, el pitch es bastante mas preciso que los mk2. El platter es también otro punto positivo que me encanta, tiene un pequeña rebaba plana, parecida a los acura, te permite afinar mejor la mezcla, para mi gusto un acierto. El cableado mucho más cómodo que los mk2. En mi caso he tenido varios mk2 durante muchos años y la diferencia con los mk7 es bastante grande, se nota la evolución y mejoras. Aunque el mk7 tenga algunos acabados no tan robustos, para mi, es un pedazo de plato. Además te acostumbras a lo bueno tan rápido, que me pongo con unos mk2 y en seguida extraño los mk7 jajaja

Are they good to mix on the technics? I have considered them but not sure about digital pitch.
I’ve never had technics before should go for the new mk7 or look for a used pair of mk2? Right now I have the Rane Twelves but want something to play real vinyl
my honest opinion is to buy the mk7. The mk2's are too old!
What`s style of music he play? Break?
