    This video makes me think i could still do this at home. Im pretty handy. Ive got a 2014 durango and the heat rises when under load like climbing long hill. Had a misfire code in #6. Used head gasket sealer and that seems to have put a band aid on it, but still have rusing temps on long hills. Now im worried i might need a new head. No white smoke, but was getting air in coolant system.

    My girls 2013 JK runs a bit hot after driving for 30 min or so. It has never passed the 3/4 mark on the temp gauge. I replaced the Radiator, thermostat, and coolant temp sensor, all after flushing the fluid from the system. The Jeep seems to be running well, however we did receive a P0303 Code so now I am looking into replacing the spark plugs and coil pack. Looks like this job here is really what my jeep needs. I am not sure. I hope it is just the spark plugs. I guess a compression test would help my diagnosis this?

Is there anyway you could post a link or just tell me what tools you used to hold the cam phasers and the tool used the push back the timing chain tensioner? Hello, can You help me, The engine of my Jeep 2014 starts to heat up only when I start to climb a road. The radiator, the cap, ando the thermostat have already been changed, with the compression test it would be possible to check which head is damaged or how else can you find out which of the two heads has damage...???

      With head gasket issues we will see A LOT of pressure in the cooling system really quickly after start up. They are sometimes pretty hard to diagnoses. You normally won't see low compression. Great video Tyler, I searched 3.6 vs 2.0 jeep and this video came up. Very helpful to see how it's all put together. Thanks and keep the cool videos coming I just subscribed!

    • @TylerPotter
      @TylerPotter  Před 3 lety +1

      If I ordered a new JL tomorrow and couldn't get the 392 I would be going with the 3.6. There is just a lot more stuff that could have issues with the 2.0 due to the additional cooling system with the turbo ect. I think the 3.6 will give you a lot more worry/issue free miles than the 2.0. Thanks for the view!

      @@TylerPotter Awesome! That helps a lot. I have been kicking around the idea of ordering a 392 and wanted to compare it to a standard rubicon. But given all the engine choices in the "Standard" rubicon it's hard to make an apples to apples comparison. But I think you hit the nail on the head, if you can afford a 392 then get it if not go with the reliable 3.6 Pentistar. Good news I have been saving money in my piggybank since I was 11 for a Hemi so I just have to find that hammer and break it open :) Thanks Buddy.

    Once you’ve done that head then you can fix that leaking rad, then the front axle seals, then the rear axle seals, then the seizing door bushings, then the leaking rear wiper motor, then the clogged heater core, then the thermostat then the oil filter adapter housing, then the seized rear brake callipers, then the slipping transmission and repeat. Oh and now the other head needs camshafts for failed rockers. These vehicles are junk, assembled with parts made by the absolute rock bottom lowest bidder.

    My 2015 jk same problem rocker and lifer fail. Dealer fix it under warranty and now off warranty the same cylinder head went. Jeep Wrangler are good vehicle just made by a shitty company. Now 2k to fix the problem with new cylinder head. Did my research and found out that jeep 3.6 under a class act lawsuit. For the same problem.

      @@TylerPotter I think the bottom end has major issues. Not sure what what to do but I think the head needs to come off either way.
