First song I learned on guitar. I'm a huge John Sykes fan. This song is the best love song ever made in my opinion. Well "Looking for Love" is great song but wasn't on the 1987 album. You should do that one too, great guitar tune. Is This Love is solo has to be done on a Les Paul.....just has to.

@@jacobtani9785 Agreed! Two dudes wrote "Look Away" and the "The Flame" which were presented to both Chicago and Cheap Trick. Zander picked "The Flame" and of course Chicago got "Look Away." Both songs were each bands last number 1 hit. It was Cheap Trick's only #1.

This solo is one of the best Sykes laid down on 1987 besides Crying In The Rain. Still Of The Night and Give Me All Your Love Tonight was merely guitar wanking with not much melody going on. You nailed it all; sound, attitude and playing. Well done.

The dream of my life has always been to learn to play electric guitar, I'm a little old now, I'm 50, and I love 80s rock, I'm thinking of buying a Gibson copy electric guitar, maybe one from China or an Epiphone, here in South America an original Gibson is very expensive, my question is, did it take you many years to learn to play so well?

Your technique and ability are first class. Tiny adjustment i’d make, the ernie ball bit, the sound seemed a fraction ‘thin’ (best way i can describe it). Frankly though its pretty flawless, Sykes would be proud. 👍🏻

@@JuhaAitakangas Yes - multiple people I know have gotten their Whitesnake videos blocked by content ID - I think it's something to do with the licensing on the Whitesnake songs.. maybe Whitesnake/The Label and CZcams found a middleground/solution.

These peeps these days be lost if they had to learn by ear on a cassette tape like some of us . Then you have to even learn tuning without a tuner cause most cassette players played either sharp or flat . Tuner was useless. Ok rant over
